External Game Viewer

Hey guys,

A long time ago I wrote an external game viewer for TCY that was converted into a program to view games externally for FOF 2k4 I think by 3ric. I don't have any of that code anymore, and that is probably fine as it was pretty much crap, I'm sure.

However, I'm somewhat interested in writing a viewer for 2k7. I've looked through the reference thread and the forum in general and I don't see that it has been tried. I'm sort of looking for confirmation that nothing like this already exists. Also, I briefly looked around using my copy of the game to see if there was a text file output of the game logs for a week or a way to turn that on and didn't see it. Ideally, I'd like to use text file outputs from an entire week and have an external "solevision" program that does a better job of presentation (something more like what nfl.com does with it's gametrackers and stuff like that).

So question #2 is, did I miss something and there is a way to access these game logs in a txt format? If there isn't I may have already hit a road block.

Thanks.

There's this:

http://vnflhouse.jdavidbaker.com/gamecenter.php

which uses the html game logs.

I believe viewer(s) based on the solevision files are being written (one by me )

Both vNFL (and vNFL House) and AUFL are using that game center - the vNFL House and AUFL both have openings and are both in an excellent time to sign up (AUFL is in FA3, House is in the divisional playoffs)

OK no offline version of this? What I'd like to do is create something like a combination of that and Solevision so that you can switch between games on the fly and receive notifications from other games as well. The look of that is sort of what I'm going for, but I definitely want an offline version of that for solo play.

So no one knows if there is a way to output log files for the whole week in a txt format? That would be a pretty big necessity I think, though I could use the html game logs, but I really don't know how to find a whole set for each week. I might just be missing an option in the game somewhere.

the log file naming convention is

logyyyywwvvhh

where:

yyyy = year
ww = week, but this is 0 to 25 with 0 being exhibition 1 and 25 being bowl game
vv = visiting teamid (00 for Arizona)
hh = homt teamid

so you shoul dbe able to work it out from that which are the whole weeks games

The problem is where are those files? I have looked in every directory in the Solecismic folder and I don't see them anywhere. I might have an option turned off in the game to output them in the correct format, but I've looked for that, too, and I can't find anything like that.

You have to export the html, it doesn't generate them automatically. Click on "Create HTML" in the Alminac window.
