TDCB - Diary of a Commish
Here's a slightly different dynasty. It's the diary of a commish. I have started a TDCB league called simNCAA, that can be found at www.simleague.net and will be also running the St. Joes Hawks as a coach.
I figured I would use the dynasty to focus on my team and the league as a whole, something a little different. The only thing that will not really appear, until following the recruiting season, will be the recruiting information (I can't be giving away all my strategy for that). So far the league is slowly growing with just 13 confirmed teams taken so far. I am beginning to look to other forums to post for recruiting coaches. The first step that I had to do is mess around with the web site that is created by the game. There are several pages that I didn;t like and am still changing them, such as the coach list where I allowed every team to be seen so it was easier to see who is still open. The next step was to add a little to the main page and will need to be working on getting the images imported correctly, the links got messed up in the import with the case of the names. One of the early teams to be taken was Temple, so I know that I will have a rivalry with another human controlled team early on. That should add to the fun. There is still a lot to do and I plan on updating this dynasty every step of the way. Next up is getting a good set of logos and banners for the league and settng up an MSN Group to use for the league forum. The great thing about MSN Groups is that they show up in command line searches from IE rather high in the results, which will also help recruiting for the league. I hope you enjoy the dynasty. Oh, and Go Hawks!!! ![]() |

Group Page Created
The next step is finished, creating a group page on MSN and notifying the current coaches. This should help get some interaction between the coaches, which is really needed since this league can have teams in a vacuum with no connection with other teams with no trading in a college league.
Hopefully a little fun trash talking on the forums will start to get some good rivalries going. All this and I still haven't looked at my St. Joes roster. I might want to do that before the season starts, unless I want to be the Rich Kotite of college basketball. ![]() |

Since this will be my first on line game, I need some help. How do I get setup. Do I start a new multiplayer, or load it? And what do I do with the PIN number? Basically, just help get me started with this.

I'll be posting the save file tonight. All you should have to do is create the folder simNCAA and copy the file into that folder. That should take care of it and then you'll select that save game when starting your game from Load Multiplayer and you'll select your team and enter the PIN to have access to it.
Thanks, Dave |

Big 10 now leads the way with 5 human coached teams. Nice campaign by Illinifan to get that going it appears. I have posted a zip of the save folder for the league and linked it at the site.
The new coaches are updated on the coaches page and in the game, but not all hte details for a couple waiting on alma mater and age for. Things are starting to pick up a bit for the league and I am getting a good feeling about the potential for the league. Soon I will be also posting the polls on the main page, and not just the polls section. I still have links to fix for some of the pages and others to add as I comb through the game created pages. It's a lot of work but should be enjoyable, even though I'm not a huge college basketball fan. I love the atmosphere of the game and that is what draws me in to watching it some. |

Not much new to report other than a little more recruiting posts at some other boards. There is still a flow of new people inquiring about it but it's ben slower than I hoped in filling it up. I don't expect a full leauge, but I would like it to have quite a few actual coaches.
I think a lot of the problem is the 'snowball affect' that having few owners causes. No-one wants to commit until they see it start to fill up. That was how a lot of my other leagues have been, like the baseball one that now has a waiting list to get a team. I actually have some free time Monday, I hope. For the first time in the last 3 weeks I won't have to watch my daughter for a little while. I like the time that I have been given the chance to spend with her (she's 2), but that break to myself is always appreciated. There is one potential thing that could push the start of the league back a bit. In my job searches I have a few possibles lined up. It has been a tough road with the searches after the health problems kept me out of work for a while but now that time off seems to be hurting me. I have actually been turned down because of the time off, saying they aren't comfortable with hiring someone who hasn't been working that time. Sorry, didn't mean to get off-track. My point was that one of the possibles is in Las Vegas, and may be the best one. The recruiter called a couple of my references and got quotes and sent them to the company on Friday and got an immediate response. As it turns out the head of the company that the recruiter was putting me in for ends up being friends with one of my references, who gave me a great reference. What this means is that there might be a move across country in my future. That would put things on temporary hold until I get set up at the new location. Nothing has been offered and it's no-where near set in stone but it is a possibility. The league will go on though as that will just be a minor bump in the road. Time to get a little sleep. |

Cool idea. It'll be interesting to see this process through your eyes. It's gotta be stressfull trying to run the league...

Oh crap, I got confused. For some reason I thought that you were the commish of Virtual NCAA, not simNCAA. My fault, I'm an idiot...

No problem Jeeber.
I have picked up some more coaches and have them updated. I will be uploading the new save file on Wednesday that will include all the new coaches and changes that have been sent in. The start of the league has not been set in stone as it will be within a week, or no more than two. I have updated everyone in the league on what to expect for when the league starts. I have backed myself into a lot of 'grunt work' at the moment. Two of my leagues are between seasons, after their first season. This is the toughest time for the leagues as I work on getting the history updated for the leagues. With every league it seems the transition from season 1 to season 2 is the toughest. After that there is a better feel for the transition and it becomes very smooth. That has taken some of my web site attention away from the simNCAA, but it has my full commitment. Yes, I think I might be crazy, but it's a fun hobby. Now I should be going to get some sleep. |

Life has interfered a bit lately but I got a chance to update all new coaches and post the latest save file for the league complete with up to the minute coaches and any moves that were sent in byt the current coaches.
The league is still going to happen but not on my initial time-table, which was overly optimistic anyway to be honest. I am about to make one last big push to get some more coaches and then the league will start to roll. simNCAA will happen, and I will do my best to make it fun for everyone. Once things get rolling, this dynasty will be updated following each site update for the sims to show the progress of the league, and also some about my Hawks as we look to earn a spot in the tournament, and hopefully get past the first round unlike their real-life counterpart. |

Been updating the site and I have decided on a schedule for the league. The season will be starting on Tuesday the 22nd of April and we will be simming 1 week per sim session twice a week.
This may change after the league gets going, to see if 3 times a week would work or if it would be too much. simNCAA will be kicking off soon and looking forward to it. Now I better start looking over my team's roster. I'll be letting you know more about that once I get a chance to sit down and look them over. (go Hawks, beat Temple) |

Temple will be watching from the sidelines agains when the dance comes around.
![]() Had a small flood of new owners today with a possible delay in another online league. Still on target for week 1 sims to be done on the 22nd. I'll actually start looking over my roster in the next couple days and getting my depth and strategy together. Looking at my schedule and it looks tough with an opener at Stanford and 4 of my first 5 on the road. Only 2 of my games are with preseason ranked teams. The opener and a December 28th game against Florida. The games I have sircled are on January 28th at Temple and then February 28th with the last regular season game we host Temple and send them into the conference tournament reeling from a humiliating loss. |

How do you want us to send in the files? Do you want us to e-mail them or upload them to the server? If we're uploading them, what is the server name/password? Sorry if this is somewhere on the website, but I couldn't find it.

After you make your moves in the game go to the Options menu and take the option to create the multi-player file. This will create a .tdc file with your team name. Email me that file. It should be created in the multiplayer folder of the game.
Email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. Thanks, Dave |

Preseason Tourneys
The league is now ready to go. Today will be the first week of sims. I am finally looking over my team and getting an idea of what my season has ahead of me (hopefully a tournament bid).
Below are the pairings for the preseason tournaments: Hawaii Classic (1) #6 Michigan State vs. (8) Memphis (4) #8 North Carolina vs. (5) #13 Mississippi (2) #4 Florida vs. (7) Nebraska (3) #10 Stanford vs. (6) St. Josephs Preseason ACT (1) #1 Duke vs. (8) George Washington (4) #24 Alabama vs. (5) #7 Illinois (2) #11 Virginia vs. (7) Xavier (3) #2 Kentucky vs. (6) Texas A&M Alaska Challengs (1) #3 Kansas vs. (8) Rhode Island (4) #16 Indiana vs. (5) #23 Cincinnati (2) #12 USC vs. (7) LSU (3) #21 Syracuse vs. (6) Georgia At least we get to go to Hawaii for our tournament. That beats Alaska in November. It looks like we have the toughest group to play in though with 4 top 10 teams in our tournament. St. Josephs Roster 26 C Matt Pack 6'7", 236 Fr. - Good potential, looks like a good rebounder with good strength 23 C David Williams 6'7", 241 Sr. - My projected starter, good inside game and rebounder, strong inside presence 24 C Reggie Gadzuric 7'1", 250 Fr. - Very strong freshman player but not a lot of potential growth, already a strong inside presence, should press for a starting spot, his biggest problem may be his grades 7 PF Greg Rollerson 6'8", 268 So. - Not much more than an extra body, he has some indside strnegth but no future potential according to scouts 2 PF Will Fizer 6'6", 227 Jr. - Strong and athletic and can hit the three decently, hasn't learned a good rebounding technique, projected starter but the center duo of Gadzuric and Williams might find some playing time at the power forward spot 34 SF Matt Gates 6'5", 181 So. - What you see is what you get, can hit the three at times but not spectacular 38 SF Phil Rose 6'5", 175 Jr. - A solid all-around player but doesn't excel at anything in particular, projected starter 50 SF Morris Jones 6'3", 199 So. - Has me praying for an injury free season at small forward, not much to him at all and shouldn't see much playing time 6 SG Jase Winston 6'3", 186 Jr. - He can light it up from three point range but is a defensive liability, scouts still see good potential in him, most likely the starter 52 SG Will Frederick 6'2", 177 So. - He is a small forward in the body of a guard, not much of an outside game and not much potential 5 PG Monty Nolan 6'1", 163 Fr. - Good potential that may press for a starting spot already, looks to be a play maker 44 PG Brian Coursey 5'9", 144 Sr. - Quick athletic play-maker who can drain the three when needed, projected starter (most likely at shooting guard), only downside is his size which leads to no potential pro career for him though he has the skills for it 25 B.B. Booker 6'2", 183 Sr. - With 2 senior point guards our recruiting focus is obvious, excellent pro potential as he has a pure shot and can pass with the best of them, starting point guard to share time with Coursey at both the point and some time at shooting guard as we'll go with the hot hand With a tough first round matchup in the Hawaii Classic I am just looking for a good showing. Something to build off of for the season. |

Hide Our Heads
We got crushed by Stanford in the opening round 88-37. I couldn't find one positive in the stat sheet. I hope we can turn things around this week with our home opener against Valparaiso.
As far as the tournaments went: Hawaii Classic (1) #6 Michigan State 102 vs. (8) Memphis 91 (4) #8 North Carolina 76 vs. (5) #13 Mississippi 89 (2) #4 Florida 91 vs. (7) Nebraska 51 (3) #10 Stanford 88 vs. (6) St. Josephs 37 (1) #6 Michigan State 76 vs. (5) #13 Mississippi 70 (2) #4 Florida 62 vs. (3) #10 Stanford 70 (1) #6 Michigan State 77 vs. (3) #10 Stanford 68 Preseason ACT (1) #1 Duke 91 vs. (8) George Washington 53 (4) #24 Alabama 84 vs. (5) #7 Illinois 70 (2) #11 Virginia 92 vs. (7) Xavier 45 (3) #2 Kentucky 104 vs. (6) Texas A&M 63 (1) #1 Duke 52 vs. (4) #24 Alabama 62 (2) #11 Virginia 63 vs. (3) #2 Kentucky 99 (4) #24 Alabama 46 vs. (3) #2 Kentucky 92 Alaska Challengs (1) #3 Kansas 74 vs. (8) Rhode Island 58 (4) #16 Indiana 65 vs. (5) #23 Cincinnati 87 (2) #12 USC 75 vs. (7) LSU 50 (3) #21 Syracuse 76 vs. (6) Georgia 57 (1) #3 Kansas 85 vs. (5) #23 Cincinnati 69 (2) #12 USC 90 vs. (3) #21 Syracuse 59 (1) #3 Kansas 54 vs. (2) #12 USC 56 Top 25 1 Kentucky (3-0) 2 Michigan State (3-0) 3 USC (3-0) 4 Kansas (2-1) 5 Stanford (2-1) 6 Duke (1-1) 7 Alabama (2-1) 8 Florida (1-1) 9 Virginia (1-1) 10 Mississippi (1-1) 11 Syracse (1-1) 12 Cincinnati (1-1) 13 Arizona (0-0) 14 UCLA (0-0) 15 Illinois (0-1) 16 North Carolina (0-1) 17 Maryland (0-0) 18 Tennessee (0-0) 19 Iowa State (0-0) 20 Texas (0-0) 21 Boston College (0-0) 22 Indiana (0-1) 23 Texas Tech (0-0) 24 Wake Forest (0-0) 25 Iowa (0-0) |

After Week 2
We lost a close one to Valparaiso, 65-63. This makes us drop to 0-2, not a good start at all. So far I have realized that I have no good idea about my team yet. My strategies don;t seem to be working so it's time to start adjusting a little.
No-one on the team has put up any good numbers at all. Our shooting has been horrid and the officiating has made it even worse. How else can you explain getting called for over twice as many fouls as my opponent and on my home court. We have two road games coming up, St. Louis (1-1) and Fresno State (2-0). We need to at least split those games to keep from starting a downhill spiral early. As for the league. We have seen a couple early upsets, like Duke losing to Providence 97-79 to drop them to 2-2 and drop them out of the top 25. Kentucky has been strong, as has Michigan State. they have maintained their 1-2 status by winning 2 games each and both are now 5-0. Top 25 1 Kentucky (5-0) 2 Michigan State (5-0) 3 Kansas (4-1) 4 USC (4-1) 5 Stanford (4-1) 6 Alabama (4-1) 7 Florida (3-1) 8 Mississippi (3-1) 9 Syracuse (3-1) 10 Virginia (3-1) 11 Boston College (2-0) 12 Connecticut (2-0) 13 Iowa (2-0) 14 Texas (2-0) 15 Wake Forest (2-0) 16 Tennessee (2-0) 17 Texas Tech (2-0) 18 Maryland (2-0) 19 Georgia Tech (2-0) 20 Mississippi State (2-0) 21 Iowa State (2-0) 22 UCLA (2-0) 23 Wisconsin (2-0) 24 Providence (2-0) 25 St. Johns (2-0) |

Week 3
We split our games but suffered a big loss with point guard Brian Coursey suffering a scratched cornea in the second game after being poked in the eye by a defender. He will be out for a month.
That will be a big loss for us as he was 2nd on the team in assists and led the team in steals. Kentucky and Michigan State continued to romm as they both improved to 7-0 a d remained 1-2 in the nation. Top 25 1 Kentucky (7-0) 2 Michigan State (7-0) 3 Kansas (6-1) 4 Standofrd (6-1) 5 Alabama (6-1) 6 Florida (5-1) 7 USC (5-2) 8 Virginia (5-1) 9 UCLA (4-0) 10 Texas (4-0) 11 Iowa State (4-0) 12 Tennessee (4-0) 13 Boston College (4-0) 14 Texas Tech (4-0) 15 Arkansas (4-0) 16 California (4-0) 17 Mississippi State (4-0) 18 Indiana (4-1) 19 Duke (4-2) 20 Connecticut (4-0) 21 Mississippi (4-2) 22 North Carolina (4-1) 23 Wisconsin (4-0) 24 Providence (4-0) 25 Georgia Tech (4-0) |

Week 4
We had to shuffle our lineup around a bit with the injury to Coursey. His injury will get freshman Monty Nolan more playing time. It's a little earlier than I was hoping to have to press him into action but hopefully he will develop into the playmaker that I think he will be.
Our first game of the week we dominated Mississippi Valley State to win 79-52 on the road for our 2nd win of the season. Center David Williams dominated for us with 23 points and 12 rebounds, 6 of them offensive rebounds. We have now improved to 2-3. In our second game we beat Butler at home by a score of 76-64 to even our record at 3-3. Williams had 13 rebounds and blocked 2 shots but it was forward Phil Rose who had the hot scoring touch with 22 and guard Jase Winston added 18. Nationally we had a big upset with Iowa crushing number 1 Kentucky by a 117-66 score. That win will easily knock Kentucky from the number 1 spot. Valparaiso also knocked off number 12 Tennessee by a 75-71 score. Number 14 Texas Tech lost to Syracuse and Cleveland State this week and that could knock them from the top 25. We have a new number 1 as Michigan State improves to 9-0. Top 25 1 Michigan State (9-0) 2 UCLA (6-0) 3 Texas (6-0) 4 Iowa State (6-0) 5 Boston College (6-0) 6 Arkansas (6-0) 7 Florida (7-1) 8 Kentucky (8-1) 9 Kansas (8-1) 10 Connecticut (6-0) 11 Arizona (5-1) 12 Stanford (8-1) 13 Oklahoma State (6-0) 14 North Carolina (6-1) 15 Virginia (7-1) 16 Indiana (6-1) 17 USC (7-2) 18 Alabama (8-1) 19 St. Johns (6-0) 20 Duke (6-2) 21 Maryland (5-1) 22 Syracuse (6-1) 23 Wake Forest (5-1) 24 California (5-1) 25 Tennessee (5-1) |

Week 5
Had a coach drop out from the league due to lack of time. He's welcomed back whenever he feels that he has the time that he would like to commit to the league. Other than that it's been status quo so far.
I am working on something to send to TD Dale of .400 Software Studios with a bit of a hands on guide, and other questions as well about the multiplayer interface, and ideas. I hope to have that sent out to him tonight or tommorrow morning, along with the other web site updates that I am doing as the www.simleague.net site is adding some features that I hope will draw more traffic and interest. We host Morgan State (3-3) and play at William & Mary (3-3) this week. I have an optimistic view and thinkl we have a good shot at taking both. We still only have that one injury to deal with and we did okay last week with the new lineup. Monday Big upset as Vanderbilt beat #2 UCLA big and at UCLA. #16 Indiana beat LSU easily. #8 Kentucky beat SMU. South Carolina upsets #19 St. Johns by 16. South Florida upsets #13 Oklahoma State by 22 in Florida. Tuesday #3 Texas beats #22 Syracuse by 10 in Texas. Wednesday #6 Arkansas pounds UNC Greensboro. #25 Tennessee runs all over Hartford. Thursday #24 California beats Evansville with ease. #12 Stanford handles Holy Cross. #11 Arizona makes easy work of Denver. #9 Kansas beats Mercer easily. #7 Florida survives a first half scare to easiy beat Coppin State. #4 Iowa State pounds Detroit. #1 Michigan State beats #5 Boston College with a strong second half. #17 USC beats Binghamton with ease. Southern Mississippi edges #10 Connecticut by 3. #18 Alabama beats Idaho State with ease. We survived a tight first half with Morgan State to go on to an 87-62 win. Guard Jase Winston lit up the night with 28 points, center David Williams had 11 boards and guard B.B. Booker added 8 assists. We're now 4-3. Friday #24 Californaia survived a scare from Santa Clara and held on for a 4 point win. #12 Stanford beat Indiana State with ease. #15 Virginia beat Northwestern State without working up a sweat. #2 UCLA beat Alabama State in a game that was never in doubt. After trailing by 1 at the end of the first half we had a strong second half to come away with a 10 point win over William & Mary to make our record 5-3. We had 6 players in double digit scoring. Gadzurik and Williams ewach had 12 rebounds. Sunday #6 Arkansas beat Samford easily. #20 Duke crushed Dartmouth. #23 Wake Forest coasted to a win over Texas Southern. We had one player committ to us this week. PG Kyle Williams, a local kid. He's averaging 17.5 points per game in high school and we need to fill the guard spot with 2 guards graduating. This biggest dissapointment was that the player we wanted the most committed to Temple, why Temple? Week 6
Had no problems with the import files. Most coaches sent in files, a good sign.
Started really upping the pressure with my recruiting after losing my top choice to Temple last week. Found a 5 star prospect that might play for us but I am a little cautious because of his GPA being so bad in high school. Still only the one injury to worry about but we have played pretty good with the new depth chart so that isn't a current concern. We host Sam Houston State (2-6) and Lafayette (5-3) this week. Hopefully the home court advantage will bring us two wins and we can up our record to 7-3. Monday #18 Duke beats Wright State by 23. #16 California beats Denver by 28. #6 Stanford crushes Evansville. #7 Kansas handles Siena quite easily. Miami plays strong defense to upset #14 Virginia by 3. #3 Iowa State more than doubles Princeton. #24 Temple beats William & Mary by 25. We beat Sam Houston State 77-62 to improve to 6-3. Center Dan Williams led the way with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Tuesday #11 Florida beat Stephen F Austin easily. Wednesday #2 Kentucky crushed Wisconsin-Green Bay. #10 Wake Forest beat Chicago State by 20. Thursday #23 Oklahoma comes back from a 1st half deficit to beat Canasius by 1. #15 Alabama beats Marquette by 22. George Washington upsets #10 Texas with a big second half. #4 Arizona sinks Navy. #5 Arkansas makes Winthrop squeal. #8 UCLA hold off a late charge by Loyolla-Chicago to win by 3. #12 Indiana needs a strong finish to beat Radford. #13 USC dismantles Wichita State. #17 Tennessee beats Idaho State with ease. #21 Boston College needs OT to beat Hartford. #9 North Carolina destroys Northern Iowa. #25 Providence holds off a late charge by Southern Utah to win by 6. #22 Connecticut pulls away from Clemson in the second half for the win. #19 Mississippi beats Southern Mississippi with ease. #1 Michigan State puts Northern Illinois away in the second half. Friday #5 Arkansas beats Valparaiso by 15. Saturday #15 Alabama beats Oregon State by 23. Northwestern State stuns #23 Oklahoma with a strong second half for the upset. #18 Duke beats George Washington with ease. #16 California beats Oakland by 34. #6 Stanford crushes Iona. #10 Texas dominates Belmont. #20 Wake Forest beats Birmingham Southern without working up a sweat. #7 Kansas needs a strong second half to beat Georgia Tech. #3 Iowa State coasts over LSU. #21 Boston College wins easily over Wisconsin-Green Bay. #14 Virginia puts away St. Louis with a strong second half. #8 UCLA doubles up Tennessee Tech. #13 USC starts strong and coasts against Oklahoma State. #2 Kentucky gets a hard fought win against Miami. #11 Florida dominates Drexel. #19 Mississippi beats Alabama A & M by ss. #25 Providence beats UMKC easily. #22 Connecticut puts Coppin State away in the second half. We beat Lafayette 85-74 to improve to 7-3. We had 5 players in double digit scoring and guard B.B. Booker led the team with 17. Freshman center Reggie Gadzurik dominated inside with 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. Sunday #4 Arizona beat Air Force by 33. #9 North Carolina destroyed Wisconsin-Milwaukee. #17 Tennessee coasted over Princeton after a strong first half. #24 Temple came from behind to beat Memphis. No verbal committments this week. So far we just have the one. We will really have to turn the pressure up over these next couple weeks. Syracuse is the only new Top 25 team this week with just Oklahoma dropping out. Week 7
This week began as the week from hell as far as being a commissioner. Received a run time error '91' when updating the file with the team files. That error locks up the MP Console completely.
I had to delete all the files from the folder and update each team one at a time and then save the game after each update so I didn't lose everything when I got to the corrupt file. As luck would have it, it ended up being one of the last files that I got to. The Rutgers file was the one that caused the problem, of course there were only 3 files left to fo by then. After getting all that straightened out I had to go in and change Duke back to CPU as the coach emailed that he didn't have enough time at the moment to be in the league. From that point it was on to doing a manual team entry for a coach that doesn't have the game. I try to steer people towards getting the game when they inquire about the league since it is easier for both of us if they have it. Luckily there are only a couple that don't have the game. Now on to my team. We're still anxiously awaiting the return of point guard Brian Coursey from his injury. He's going to miss another 2-3 weeks. I went aggressively after a center and a point guard to fill in for graduating players. Hopefully it will pay off for me. We have a tough week this week, playing at Georgia (7-4) and at #9 Florida (10-2). Monday #18 Mississippi beat Princeton rather easily. #12 Duke beats Bucknell by 43. #22 Texas beats St. Francis (NY) easily. #10 North Carolina pounds Radford. #7 Arkansass nearly doubles Monmouth. #24 Temple beats Charlotte with a strong second half. Tuesday #3 Arizona holds off a tough Oregon team. #21 Virginia beats High Point by 37. #14 Tennessee destroys Mercer. Wednesday - Merry Christmas ![]() #17 Wake Forest beats Maine by 35. Thursday #5 Stanford beats Washington State easily as some conference play begins. Washington upsets #13 California with a 14 point win. #11 USC uses the home court advantage to route #8 UCLA by 20 in a game between rivals. #16 Alabama destroys Wofford. #15 Indiana beats Georgia State easily. #1 Michigan State gets a scare from Howard but wins by 10. #6 Kansas beats Louisiana-Lafayette easily. #2 Kentucky more than doubles New Mexico State. #4 Iowa State coasts over South Alabama. #9 Florida beats Rhode Island by 31. We get a big road win 82-68 over Georgia to improve to 8-3. Center Dan Williams led the way with 16 points and 5 blocks. Friday #16 Alabama edges McNeese State by 7. #21 Virginia gets a 20 point win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee. #14 Tennessee beats Massachusetts easily. #4 Iowa State coasts over Southwest Texas State. Saturday #13 California comes back to beat Washington State. #12 Duke beats Coastal Carolina easily. #18 Missippi doesn't even break a sweat with a win over Stetson. #17 Wake Forest beats Holy Cross by 36. #22 Texas coasts over Chicago State. #15 Indiana dominates Southern Utah. #10 North Carolina comes back to beat Louisville. #7 Arkansas needs a stong second half to beat Portland. #19 Boston College erases a 6 point halftime deficit to beat Texas-San Antonio #6 Kansas beats St. Marys easily. #2 Kentucky dominates Central Florida. #20 Connecticut comes back to beat Ohio State by 7. #24 Temple beats Tennessee Tech by 20. We played #9 Florida tough but end up losing 77-65 to drop our record to 8-4. Our 7 foot freshman Reggie Gadzuric had 18 points and 5 blocks to lead us. We got through the week with a split of two very tough games so I am pleased. Sunday Oregon State upsets #3 Arizona by 6. #5 Stanford has to hang on to beat Washington by 3. Marshall beats #25 Syracuse by 10. #23 Providence beats Howard by 27. #1 Michigan State beats Georgia by 15. Bad trouble for me this week. My starting point guard has just been placed on academic suspension. This leave me with only my freshman until Coursey comes back from the injury. No new commitments from recruits. The one we had did pass his entrance exam. Syracuse dropped from the top 25 and Maryland has returned to the top 25. Top 25 1 Michigan State (14-0) 2 Kentucky (14-1) 3 Iowa State (12-0) 4 Kansas (14-1) 5 Stanford (14-1) 6 Arkansas (12-0) 7 Florida (12-2) 8 North Carolina (11-1) 9 Duke (11-2) 10 Arizona (10-2) 11 Tennessee (11-1) 12 USC (12-2) 13 Indiana (11-1) 14 Alabama (14-1) 15 Wake Forest (10-1) 16 Mississippi (12-2) 17 Virginia (11-2) 18 Texas (10-2) 19 UCLA (9-2) 20 Boston College (9-1) 21 Connecticut (9-1) 22 Temple (10-1) 23 Providence (9-1) 24 Maryland (9-2) 25 California (10-2) |

Week 8
Week 8 started out with the file updates and this time they all went perfectly. That was a great thing since it's a pain doing them one at a time to find out the one that's bombing the program.
I followed that up by doing recruiting for a manual team. That would be a little easier if I could switch from that team to the master to run the games but I have to save and exit before restarting the game. Oh well, enough of the complaining. ![]() Time to see what I can do with my team, both recruiting and with the roster to make up for 2 missing point guards. With the injury to Courey and now the suspension to Booker, I now have to rely on my freshman guard Nolan to take over the duties. He has some great potential but I was hoping to bring him along a little slower. This week we play at St. Francis (PA) (6-5) and then we start our conference schedule at Massachusetts (6-5). It's time to start getting serious with conference play here. I went aggressively after a good center and one of the top remaining point guards to try to get my final two committments. I hope that we'll hear something soon from them. Monday #10 Arizona holds off #19 UCLA with a 6 point win. #20 Boston College coasts to a 26 point win over Miami to open their conference play. #1 Michigan State gets a scare from Northwestern in their conference opener but win by 3. #13 Indiana bombs Michigan. Clemson upsets #15 Wake Forest by 28 in their conference opener. #22 Temple beats South Florida by 8. #18 Texas crushes #14 Alabama by 41. Tuesday #21 Connecticut man-handles Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech upsets #8 North Carolina. #6 Arkansas destroys Robert Morris. Wednesday - Happy New Year ![]() #12 USC beats Arizona State by 19. #5 Stanford finishes strong to beat #25 California by 6. #9 Duke detroys #17 Virginia. #3 Iowa State beats Fordham with ease. Thursday #23 Providence beats Georgetown easily. #16 Mississippi wipes out Richmond. #4 Kansas erases a half time deficit to beat Western Carolina by 15. #2 Kentucky doesn't even work up a sweat in a win over Rhode Island. We road a strong 14 point, 11 rebound performance by center Dan Williams for an 86-60 win over St. Francis (PA) to improve our record to 9-4. Freshman point guard Nolan had 14 points and 8 assists in the first start of his career. His most impressive number was 0 turnovers. Friday #10 Arizona uses the home court advantage to crush #12 USC by 41. #23 Providence also enjoys the home court advantage in a big win over #21 Connecticut. #7 Florida holds off Vanderbilt by 10. Dayton crushes the over-rated #22 Temple by 29 in Philly. Saturday #19 UCLA detroys Arizona State. Wisconsin uses a strong second half to upset #13 Indiana by 11. Oklahoma uses the home court advantage to upset #18 Texas by 29. #3 Iowa State beats Nebraska easily. #9 Duke beats #15 Wake Forest by 20. #8 North Carolina crushes #24 Maryland. #16 Mississippi beats #14 Alabama by 21 thanks to a strong second half. #6 Arkansas beats #11 Tennessee by 6. We play a tough game against Massachusetts but end up dropping the game by an 80-75 score. Our record is now 9-5 and we start 0-1 in the conference. Center Gadzurik led the way with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Nolan had just 6 points, but did have 8 assists. What hurt us was Williams and Winston both getting into early fould trouble. Sunday #20 Boston College beats Syracuse 77-76 in overtime. Michigan uses a strong second half to upset #1 Michigan State by 9. #4 Kansas comes back from a halftime defecit to beat Texas Tech by 6. #2 Kentucky beats Georgia by 13. We had one of the players that we were recruiting committ to us. He is a center from West Virginia. His basketball skills aren't worrying us, but his academic report is. We also received good news from the trainer. Coursey is ready to come back from his injury. Maryland, Wake Forest and California dropped fromt he top 25. Iowa, Oklahoma and Cincinnati have taken their place. Top 25 1 Kentucky (16-1) 2 Kansas (16-1) 3 Iowa State (14-0) 4 Michigan State (15-1) 5 Stanford (15-1) 6 Duke (13-2) 7 Florida (13-2) 8 Arkansas (14-0) 9 Arizona (12-2) 10 Mississippi (14-2) 11 North Carolina (12-2) 12 Boston College (11-1) 13 USC (13-3) 14 Tennessee (11-2) 15 Indiana (12-2) 16 Providence (11-1) 17 Texas (11-3) 18 Iowa (11-2) 19 UCLA (10-3) 20 Virginia (11-3) 21 Oklahoma (12-2) 22 Alabama (14-3) 23 Connecticut (10-2) 24 Temple (11-2) 25 Cincinnati (14-2) |

Week 9
Have begun processing the weekly files but it has turned into another week from hell. The multi-player console is now getting the killer 'error 91' on what looks to be multiple files so I am ion the midst of a file by file update/save process until I can weed out the bad files.
Okay, there ended up being 2 bad team files in the batch. The second one had to be one of the last files that I got to, of course. I really hope that they address this issue because it means losing everything that did update correctly and having to save each file again and reupdate the league file. It also means having to save the game after every file that you update until finding the bad one(s) because you lose it all once the console locks up. From there it was on to doing the manual teams. One of them had a question about players' playing time. In looking into the problem it was found to be an injury problem. The game places injured players last on the depth chart automatically. Now time to make get St. Joes (9-5, 0-1) ready for our two conference games this week. We will be hosting Rhode Island (9-5. 1-0) and Fordham (5-8, 1-0). Good news for us, point guard Brian Coursey is back from his injury. I will play him as the starter and move freshman Nolan to backup. Monday #5 Stanford beats #13 USC by 10. California comes back to upset #19 UCLA by 2. #3 Iowa State destroys Colorado. LSU upsets #22 Alabama by 3. St. Bonaventure beats the over-rated #24 Temple by 11. ![]() Tuesday #23 Connecticut edges Virginia Tech 74-70. #17 Texas has little problem with Nebraska, 84-69. Wednesday Villanova upsets #12 Boston College 56-48. #11 North Carolina beats Wake Forest easily, 98-55. #6 Duke beats Clemson, 79-50. Georgia Tech upsets #20 Virginia, 75-64. #1 Kentucky beats Auburn 97-57. #25 Cincinnati destroys Louisville, 109-54. Thursday #9 Arizona beats Washington 73-42. #16 Providence beats St. Johns 100-64. Penn State beats #18 Iowa 64-51. #15 Indiana beats Minnesota 83-66. Missouri upsets #2 Kansas 65-61. #8 Arkansas beats #10 Mississippi 85-59. #7 Florida beats #14 Tennessee 69-51. We lose a heart breaker to Rhode Island 66-63. They made 7 three pointers to our 2, that was pretty much the difference of the game. Our twin towers Williams and Gadzuric got into early fould trouble again and that kept us from playing our post up game the way we want to be able to. We're now 9-6, 0-2. We need to turn around our conference record soon or we could be in trouble. Friday #16 Providence beats Virginia Tech 80-46. #12 Boston College beats #23 Connecticut 111-76 by outscoring them 70-34 in the second half. #4 Michigan State beats Purdue 87-74. #15 Indiana beats Northwestern 96-41. #11 North Carolina beats #20 Virginia 94-66. #10 Mississippi beats Auburn 81-62. Saturday Washington State upsets #9 Arizona 71-59. #5 Stanford beats #19 UCLA 76-48. Illinois upsets #18 Iowa in a big way, 101-47. #17 Texas beats Baylor 73-63. #2 Kansas beats #3 Iowa State 68-52. #21 Oklahoma crushes rival Oklahoma State 97-51. #6 Duke beats North Carolina State 71-54. #7 Florida knocks off #1 Kentucky 79-66. #14 Tennessee beats Georgia 78-73. #8 Arkansas beats LSU 73-64. #22 Alabama beats Mississippi State 103-89. Massachusetts upsets #24 Temple in overtime 75-73. We had to hold off a tough Fordham comeback in the second half and get away with a 92-90 win to improve our record to 10-6, 1-2. Coursey and Williams each had 16 for us. Coursey added 9 assists, it's good to have him back. Williams had a double-double as he had 10 rebounds as well. Sunday #13 USC beats California 103-80. #25 Cincinnati edges St. Louis 90-88. Bad news with the committments this week. No more committments and my top target decides to go elsewhere. I'll have to rethink everything about the last recruit for next week's recruiting strategy. UCLA, Iowa, Virginia and Temple all fell from the Top 25 this week. Missouri, Georgetown, Syracuse and Georgia Tech took their place. Michigan State has rebounded back to number 1 following the loss that Kentucky suffered this week. Top 25 1 Michigan State (16-1) 2 Kentucky (17-2) 3 Florida (15-2) 4 Stanford (17-1) 5 Kansas (17-2) 6 Duke (15-2) 7 Arkansas (16-0) 8 Iowa State (15-1) 9 North Carolina (15-2) 10 Arizona (13-3) 11 Indiana (14-2) 12 Mississippi (15-3) 13 Providence (13-1) 14 Texas (13-3) 15 Boston College (12-2) 16 USC (14-4) 17 Oklahoma (13-2) 18 Tennessee (12-3) 19 Cincinnati (16-2) 20 Missouri (13-3) 21 Alabama (15-4) 22 Georgetown (10-2) 23 Syracuse (11-4) 24 Georgia Tech (11-3) 25 Connecticut (11-3)

Week 10
Great news from a commissioner's viewpoint, no problems with this week's files. Everything updated fine so it was a quick process today.
We have a couple potential new coaches that have inquired about getting a team. I have to get their information and what team they want before being able to set them up in the game though. No major lineup changes this week as we prepare to play at Duquesne (4-10, 1-1) and at St. Bonaventure (9-6, 1-2). We are currently 10-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference. If we could pull off two wins this week we would be easily in 3rd in our division at 3-2. At this point we are just looking for the best remaining available players to recruit, regardless of position. We have a freshman point guard that should be very good and one coming in so we will try to sure up another position, like small forward. Monday Arizona State upsets #10 Arizona 88-68. South Carolina upsets #7 Arkansas 84-71. #19 Cincinnati dominates Southern Mississippi 82-57. Tuesday #22 Georgetown crushes Pittsburgh 104-67. #5 Kansas comes from behind to edge Texas A & M 81-80. #9 North Carolina beats North Carolina State 74-57. Wednesday #13 Providence beats Seton Hall 66-57. #24 Georgia Tech comes back to edge #6 Duke 50-49. Thursday #16 USC beats Washington State 70-49. #4 Stanford easily beats Oregon State 83-45. #23 Syracuse pounds Rutgers 89-49. #15 Boston College pounds Virginia Tech 93-45. #25 Connecticut beats Miami 59-54. #1 Michigan State beats Penn State 87-72. Iowa stuns #11 Indiana 79-54. #8 Iowa State beats #14 Texas 87-65. #17 Oklahoma beats #20 Missouri 68-51. #21 Alabama beats Vanderbilt 98-78. #12 Mississippi comes back to beat #2 Kentucky 80-74. Mississippi State upsets #3 Florida 66-61. LSU upsets #18 Tennessee 67-50. We lose a heart breaker in double overtime 96-91 to Duquesne to drop our record to 10-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference. This was the game I thought we would win of the two. We could have won the game if it wasn't for the foul trouble for Gadzurik, Winston and Williams. Winston led the team with 17 points when he was on the court but got injured near the end of the game. Coursey dished out 10 assists but turned the ball over 13 times, that is not something that will keep him starting much more. Friday Seton Hall upsets #22 Georgetown 87-69. #13 Providence comes back to beat Miami 94-83. #12 Mississippi beats Mississippi State 88-54. Saturday #4 Stanford beats Oregon 87-57. #15 Boston College beats St. Johns 87-51. #11 Indiana beats Penn State 93-75. #1 Michigan State holds off Minnesota 65-61. #8 Iowa State beats #20 Missouri 85-70. #9 North Carolina pounds #6 Duke 100-68. #21 Alabama crushes #7 Arkansas 81-44. #2 Kentucky beats Vanderbilt 88-74. #19 Cincinnati beats East Carolina 85-47. We beat St. Bonaventure in a thriller 76-75. Coursey led the way with 18 points and 5 steals. Gadzuric had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. We need to find a way to change Courey's role with the team and keep him off the ball as he turned the ball over 8 more times. With the win we are now 11-7, 2-3. Sunday #16 USC beats Washington 71-47. #14 Texas beats Texas A & M 98-68. #17 Oklahoma beats Baylor 97-44. #24 Georgia Tech edges Wake Forest 63-62. Georgia upsets #3 Florida 83-67. Bad news for us as we find that Winston will be out for 2 months. We'll have to start juggling our guards and maybe that will solve the Coursey turn-over problem as we'll move him to shooting guard and let the freshman Nolan start until Booker returns from his suspension. No committments to us this week either. Time to rethink our strategy as we keep losing prospects that seemed interested in us. Georgetown and Missouri dropped from the polls this week. Illinois and Virginia took their place. Top 25 1 Michigan State (18-1) 2 Stanford (19-1) 3 Kansas (18-2) 4 Iowa State (17-1) 5 Kentucky (18-3) 6 North Carolina (16-2) 7 Florida (15-4) 8 Duke (15-4) 9 Mississippi (17-3) 10 Providence (15-1) 11 Boston College (14-2) 12 Arkansas (16-2) 13 Arizona (13-4) 14 USC (16-4) 15 Oklahoma (15-2) 16 Indiana (15-3) 17 Texas (14-4) 18 Cincinnati (18-2) 19 Alabama (17-4) 20 Syracuse (12-4) 21 Georgia Tech (13-3) 22 Connecticut (12-3) 23 Illinois (13-4) 24 Tennessee (12-4) 24 Virginia (13-5) |

Week 11
Here we go again with the error 91 on the file updates. Time to once again do all the files one at a time. Ended up being one bad file in the bunch. The first repeat bad file that I've seen as the other times it has been different teams so I see no pattern to the problem yet.
Time to get my team's roster ready for this week's game. With the injury to Winston I have moved Coursey to shooting guard and moved the freshman Nolan to starting point guard. Nolan seems to handle the ball better than Coursey so this may help solve a couple problems with him still getting some shots but not as likely to turn the ball over since he won't be at point guard as much. This week we play only one game as we host Richmond (8-8, 1-4). We're 11-7 overall and 2-3 in the conference, hopefully we can even up our conference record this week. Monday #1 Michigan State beats Wisconsin easily, 93-64. #19 Alabama beats Georgia easily, 98-52. Tuesday #23 Illinois beats Penn State 83-64. #15 Oklahoma beats Texas Tech 80-59. #6 North Carolina beats Clemson 69-55. Vanderbilt upsets #24 Tennessee 89-57 with a huge second half. Saturday #14 USC holds off #13 Arizona 81-79. Pittsburgh upsets #20 Syracuse 82-73. #16 Indiana coasts over Ohio State 96-74. #17 Texas humiliates Colorado 123-42. Texas A & M upsets #15 Oklahoma 96-68. #25 Virginia beats Clemson 64-56. #12 Arkansas holds off Vanderbilt 77-73. #9 Mississippi beats #24 Tennessee 72-42. #2 Stanford beats Weber State 72-51. #18 Cincinnati beats Jackson State 79-66. #22 Connecticut beats UMKC 109-63. We got off to an awful start and couldn't come back to beat Richmond on our home court as they beat us 75-69 to drop us to 11-8 overall and 2-4 in the conference. Gadzuric led the way for us with 18 points and Nolan had 8 assists but nothing noteworthy about the game. Sunday Nebraska upsets #4 Iowa State 81-76. #8 Duke beats Maryland 79-66. #10 Providence beats UNC Wilmington97-57. Week 12
After a being in the hospital caused week delay in the league and everything else that I have been doing, I am finally getting back into things. It's time for Week 12 of the simNCAA. I lost one coach due to lack of time and gained another, with some other inquiries this week. Hopefully we'll add a few more coaches for next season.
Good news with the team files. They all worked this week with no crashes caused in the multiplayer console. I made no real changes in my game plan or depth chart this week as I wait for Winston and Booker to return to our lineup. This week we play at Temple (13-5, 2-4) and at Dayton (5-13, 1-5). With an 11-8 overall and 2-4 conference record we need these games badly. Monday #21 Arizona beat Arizona State 83-68. Ohio State upsets #18 Illinois with a strong second half, 85-73. #8 Florida beats South Carolina easily 86-45. Tuesday #13 Texas holds off Oklahoma State 93-88. We beat Temple in a thriller on their home court 69-66 to improve our record to 12-8 and 3-4 in the conference. We won with solid defense and no-one on the team had numbers that really stood out. We held them to 16 field goals made. A great win over a local rival. ![]() Wednesday #25 UCLA beat Washington 70-54. #1 Stanford beat Oregon State 97-85. #24 Syracuse edges Seton Hall 68-65. Week 13
Another nice week when it came to updating the team files that were sent in. No errors this sweek, thankfully. Now I just need a couple wins to go along with that.
![]() I picked up a couple new coaches as well. The league is growing slowly but nicely. We've got a few conferences that are decently full. No roster changes for me but I did decide to change my game plan for this week a bit, just to see how well a new idea works with my current players. Missing 2 starters means that I have to start toying around to find something different, especially since they are my two scoring options (Winston most importantly). We host Massachusetts (12-8, 5-3) and play at Fordham (6-14, 2-6) this week. We beat Fordham earlier this season and lost to Massachusetts. Hopefully we can take both from Fordham and get our revcenge against Massachusetts this week. We are 13-8 and 4-4 in the conference, two wins could put us in a very good position in the conference. Monday Arizona State upsets #1 Stanford in overtime 87-85, probably knocking them from the top spot after this week. Notre Dame upsets #18 Syracuse 70-57. #20 Virginia rocks Clemson 98-47. Auburn upsets #21 Arkansas 94-86. Tuesday Iowa continues the week of upsets by beating #2 Michigan State 77-71. Wednesday #17 Providence shows a little muscle over #12 Boston College 118-85. #19 Connecticut beats Miami 73-52. Texas A & M upsets #6 Iowa State 80-66. #3 Kansas makes a claim at the top spot with a 101-63 win over Colorado. #8 Florida beats Vanderbilt 98-63. #4 Kentucky beats Mississippi State 76-43. Massachusetts sweeps us with a 94-65 humiliation on our own court. We are now 13-9 and 4-5 in the conference after a key loss. Dan Williams managed 10 points and 10 rebounds for us and Gadruric blocked 6 shots but it was no where near enough. Thursday #16 Arizona beats #24 California 77-61. #13 USC doubles up Oregon State 92-46. #23 UCLA beats Oregon 77-49. #25 Illinois beats Michigan 95-52. #11 Texas beats Texas Tech 94-72. #5 Duke beats Maryland 87-58. #15 Georgia Tech holds off Florida State to win 73-68. #9 Cincinnati crushes Marquette 104-57. #7 North Carolina crushes Binghamton 82-54. Friday #24 California beats Arizona State 75-53. #17 Providence cruises over Villanova 98-61. #11 Texas beats Texas A & M 84-61. #20 Virginia beats Florida State 75-46. #4 Kentucky beats #8 Florida 74-59. We blow a half time lead to fall to Fordham 83-79 and we now sit at 13-10 and 4-6 in the conference. We are sinking with Temple now. Coursey had 16 points for us on 7 of 10 shooting but the rest of the team didn't follow suit. What did us in was being outscored 36-9 from three point range.Saturday #1 Stanford beat #16 Arizona 73-57. #13 USA beat Oregon 83-50. #19 Conncecticut beat St. Johns 81-45. #18 Syracuse beat Georgetown 83-65. #14 Indiana sweats out a 69-66 win over Michigan. #6 Iowa State beats Baylor 85-72. #3 Kansas beats Kansas State 85-54. #22 Alabama beats #21 Arkansas 94-80. #10 Mississippi beats Georgia 96-64. Charlotte upsets #9 Cincinnati 96-92. Sunday #23 UCLA beats Oregon State 82-60. #2 Michigan State beats Northwestern 110-82. North Carolina State comes back from a halftime defecit to upset #7 North Carolina 76-74. #15 Georgia Tech beats #5 Duke 85-69. With 3 weeks left in the season the A-10 is looking like it's Rhode Island's to lose. A-10 East Rhode Island 9-1 (17-6) Massachusetts 6-4 (13-9) St. Bonaventure 5-6 (13-10) St. Josephs 4-6 (13-10) Fordham 4-6 (8-14) Temple 2-8 (13-10) A-10 West La Salle 8-3 (16-7) Xavier 7-3 (18-5) George Washington 7-3 (15-8) Duquesne 6-4 (9-13) Richmond 2-8 (9-12) Dayton 1-9 (5-17) Kansas has moved to number one. Only Arkansa dropped from the polls to be replaced by Missouri. Top 25 1 Kansas (23-3) 2 Kentucky (23-3) 3 Stanford (24-2) 4 Michigan State (22-3) 5 Duke (20-5) 6 Iowa State (21-3) 7 Mississippi (21-4) 8 Texas (19-4) 9 North Carolina (19-4) 10 USC (21-5) 11 Florida (18-6) 12 Cincinnati (23-3) 13 Indiana (19-4) 14 Georgia Tech (19-3) 15 Providence (19-3) 16 Boston College (17-4) 17 Arizona (16-7) 18 Connecticut (17-4) 19 Virginia (18-6) 20 Syracuse (16-6) 21 UCLA (16-7) 22 Alabama (20-6) 23 Illinois (16-6) 24 California (17-6) 25 Missouri (17-6) Player of the Week - SG Damon Evans, Loyolla Chicago (29.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg) Frosh of the Week - PG Dan Collins, Manhattan (21.5 ppg, 12.0 apg) |

Week 14
Two more new coaches and no problems with the team file updates. Good way to start the sims. Now time to figure out some way to win consistently.
Life just got tougher at St. Joes. I didn't notice in my last game but I see that my starting center is now out for 2 months. 3 of my 5 starters are now out, it's not looking good with the paper thin depth that I have. This week we host St. Bonaventure (13-10, 5-6) and La Salle (16-7, 8-3). Right now our record puts us right around 8 or 9 in the conference which matches us up against Fordham if the season were to end today, that would be a winable game if we get our players back. Monday #6 Iowa State beats #25 Missouri 91-79. #19 Virginia beats #5 Duke 81-50. Tuesday #17 Arizona beats Washington 67-47. #13 Indiana comes back to beat Wisconsin 72-68. Wednesday #15 Providence steps up the offense over St. Johns 103-85. Michigan upsets rival #4 Michigan State 82-66. Thursday #3 Stanford beats #10 USC 87-75. #21 UCLA beats #24 California 90-71. #16 Boston College beats #18 Connecticut 74-66. Notre Dame upsets #20 Syracuse 60-49. #23 Illinois beats Minnesota 95-83. #8 Texas beats Kansas State 97-63. Oklahoma State upsets #1 Kansas 69-64. #9 North Carolina edges #14 Georgia Tech 74-72. #11 Florida beats Georgia 63-52. Tennessee upsets #22 Alabama 105-86. #7 Mississippi beats Arkansas 71-53. #2 Kentucky could have let their cheerleaders play the second half in beating South Carolina 108-43. #12 Cincinnati crushes Louisville 113-56. We lose a tight one to St. Bonaventure 82-78. Coursey had 16 and Gadzuric had 15. Gadzuric added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks from the center position. He has been playing a lot of power forward with Williams at center but now the injury to Williams doesn't allow us that option. We were outscored 21-6 from three point land and our loss of Williams rebound ablility caused us to lose the battle on the boards. We are now 13-11 and 4-7 in the conference, it's all snowballing at this point. Friday #20 Syracuse has to come back from a halftime deficit to beat Rutgers 81-76. #6 Iowa State also has to come back from a halftime deficit to beat Colorado 77-73. In another comeback, Wake Forest upsets #19 Virginia 78-74. Saturday #17 Arizona beats Washington State 86-49. #10 USC beats #24 California 70-54. #21 UCLA knocks off #3 Stanford 78-63. #18 Conncecticut hangs on to beat Villanova 68-63. #16 Boston College beats Georgetown 76-61. #15 Providence detroys Notre Dame 109-57. #13 Indiana beats Minnesota 76-68. #23 Illinois beats Wisconsin 92-52. Florida State upsets #9 North Carolina 102-83. Clemson upsets #14 Georgia Tech 74-58. #22 Alabama beats Mississippi State 68-61. #11 Florida coasts over Arkansas 80-46. #2 Kentucky beats Vanderbilt 79-64. #12 Cincinnati beats Houston 92-44. #4 Michigan State beats Louisiana Tech 105-70. Our troubles continue as La Salle beats us 78-64. Nolan and Frederick surprise us with 14 but no-one else stepped up. We lost the battle on the boards again and had no-one that could be counted on to take a shot. It's time to hope for next season I think. We're now 13-12 and 4-8 in the conference. Sunday #8 Texas edges #1 Kansas 74-70. #25 Missouri beats Texas Tech 88-52. #7 Mississippi beats LSU 77-59. Getting a little confused now. My suspended point guard was supposedly suspended until week 12 and it is now going into week 15 and he is still not available. At this point I need any kind of help, even if it's asomeone failing out of school, as long as he can play hoops. ![]() A-10 East Rhode Island 9-3 (17-8) Massachusetts 7-5 (14-10) St. Bonaventure 7-6 (15-10) St. Josephs 4-8 (13-12) Fordham 4-8 (8-16) Temple 3-9 (14-10) A-10 West Xavier 9-3 (20-5) George Washington 9-3 (17-8) La Salle 9-4 (17-8) Duquesne 6-6 (9-15) Richmond 4-8 (11-12) Dayton 2-10 (6-18) California dropped from the pole to see Oklahoma return to the top 25. Week 15
No problems with the team files this week either, we seem to be on a roll. Now I've jynxed everything for next sim.
The biggest problem is the web site creation. The MP Console cretes files with mixed case and uploading them changes it to lower case. That makes all the links invalid and I have to rename files. Add a problem now to the site where it says I have files on the site that don't exist and it won't allow me to overwrite them. I am in the middle of creating team pages but that will not be done for a couple weeks as I have other priorities at the moment. I have been given an opportunity to create a web site for a computer company and have been offered a chance to create websites for their clients (they don;t do web sites but have been asked by their clients if they did). Hopefully that will be a mutually beneficial business relationship. This should benefit the leagues and the site as well as I get even more experience with web sites that should make the league sites even better. Sorry, enough about my real world stuff. Back to the league. Frustration is setting in with the Hawks as I am still without my starting point guard who was suspended until week 12, it's now week 15. Add an injury to the starting point guard and center and it's going to be a tough rest of the season. Time to crank up the music and get to simming. Go Hawks!!! ![]() We play at George Washington (17-8, 9-3) and host Xavier (20-5, 9-3) this week. We're 13-12 and 4-8 in the conference. We almost have to come up big this week. Monday #22 Syracuse beat West Virginia 88-58. Iowa upsets #19 Illinois in a nail biter, 72-71. Oklahoma State edges #7 texas 72-70. Tuesday #14 USC beats rival #17 UCLA 81-69. #8 Duke beats Clemson 71-52. Wednesday #16 Arizona beats Oregon 74-42. #15 Boston College beats Miami 80-55. Colorado stuns #4 Kansas 99-57. #25 Missouri crushes Baylor 108-53. Thursday #2 Stanford beats Washington State 94-73. Georgetown upsets #20 Connecticut 79-57. #3 Michigan State stuffs and roasts Purdue 97-46. #10 Indiana beats Northwestern 97-44. #24 Oklahoma holds off Kansas State 91-86. Wake Forest upsets #12 North Carolina 74-69. #18 Virginia beats #21 Georgia Tech 82-67. #23 Alabama beats Auburn 103-72. #6 Mississippi beats #9 Florida 73-62. #1 Kentucky pounds LSU 97-54. We come up huge with a tight 78-75 win on the road against George Washington to improve to 14-12 and 5-8 in the conference. Coursey had 20 points and 5 assists. Small forward Rose had 18 points and 8 rebounds. Gadzuric had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. All that despite being outscored 36-3 from three point land. Friday #16 Arizona beats Oregon State 76-68. #13 Providence edges #22 Syracuse 79-76. #20 Connecticut destroys West Virginia 96-44. Ohio State upsets #3 Michigan State 74-47. #19 Illinois beats Northwestern 93-60. #7 Texas beats #25 Missouri 81-62. #9 Florida beats Auburn 74-61. #17 UCLA beats New Orleans 75-44. Saturday #2 Stanford beats Washington 82-46. #15 Boston college beats Villanova 97-78. #10 Indiana beats Iowa 80-68. #24 Oklahoma beats #5 Iowa State 75-64. #4 Kansas beats Nebraska 85-58. #8 Duke beats Wake Forest 66-55. #12 North Carolina beats Maryland 104-75. #21 Georgia Tech beats North Carolina State 69-62. Vanderbilt upsets #6 Mississippi with a strong second half, 80-75. #1 Kentucky beats Tennessee 98-74. #11 Cincinnati beats TCU 82-63. #18 Virginia beats Marist 93-47. #14 USC beats Arkansas State 99-68. Xavier pounded us in the second half on our home court to beat us 89-65. The loss dropped us to 14-13, 5-9. We were out rebounded 40-28 and outscored from three point land 27-3. This game was just outright awful. There will be a shake up in the roster by the next game. Sunday South Carolina holds off #23 Alabama for teh upset, 91-90. Good news. Booker's suspension has finally been lifted. That should help. It doesn't look like Winston or Williams will be back this season from their injury though. That's some big time offense and rebounding being taken out of the picture. A-10 East Rhode Island 10-4 (18-9) St. Bonaventure 8-6 (16-10) Massachusetts 7-7 (14-12) St. Josephs 5-9 (14-13) Temple 4-10 (15-11) Fordham 4-10 (8-18) A-10 West #25 Xavier 11-3 (22-5) LaSalle 10-4 (18-8) George Washington 10-4 (18-9) Duquesne 7-7 (10-16) Richmond 5-9 (10-13) Dayton 3-11 (7-19) Missouri dropped from the top 25 this week to be replaced by the A-10's Xavier. Week 16
No file problems and a couple more inquiries about getting in for season 2. Now If I can just get the web site straight so I don;t have to worry about the 'case' problems with the gamegenerated pages.
We get Booker back for the final week of the season. That will help as he can start at the point and we'll move the freshman Nolan down in the depth. He should be a good player for us in a season or two. We're 14-13 and 5-9 in the conference. We play at Rhode Island (18-9, 10-4) and we host Temple (15-11, 4-10) this week to finish out our season. As of now it looks like we would be playing Richmond to open the conference tournament. We can;t really go up any farther in the conference seed but we could drop and have to face a tougher team. Monday #5 Kansas beats Missouri 73-54. #10 Iowa State beats Kansas State 78-50. LSU upsets #24 Alabama in a thriller, 68-66. Tuesday n/a Wednesday #11 USC beats Oregon State 85-66. #3 Michigan State beats Minnesota 84-73. #9 Texas beats Baylor 81-69. #8 Mississippi beats Auburn 100-87. #7 Cincinnati beats East Carolina 88-54. St. Johns upsets #23 Syracuse 98-94. #14 Boston College beats Rutgers 87-55. #19 Illinois beats Purdue 97-56. #6 Indiana beats Penn state 91-79. #22 Oklahoma beats Texas Tech 69-67. #4 Duke beats North Carolina State 70-45. #16 North Carolina beats #17 Virginia 81-66. #13 Florida beats Tennessee 73-66. #1 Kentucky beats South Carolina 70-49. #25 Xavier beats George Washington 96-68. #21 Georgia Tech beats Albany 76-51. We got a big win for our confidence witht he return of point guard B.B. Booker as we beat Rhode Island 95-86 to improve to 15-13 and 6-9 in the conference. Booker led the way with 21 points and 7 assists in his return and Coursey added 20. Gadzurik had only 7 rebounds but blocked 4 shots to make his presence known defensively. Friday #2 Stanford edged #15 Arizona in a thriller, 65-64. Pittsburgh upsets #20 Connecticut 92-73. St. Johns upsets #14 Boston College in a thriller, 72-70. #5 Kansas beats #10 Iowa State 86-70. #24 Alabama upsets #1 Kentucky 92-82. #13 Florida beats South Carolina 85-51. Temple got revenge on us for beating them earlier by beating us 82-73 to end our regular season with a 15-14 record overall and 6-10 in the conference. Power forward Rollerson had 20 points for us and Booker had 9 assists. We committed way too many turnovers, didn't deserve to win that game at all. The worst thing is that center Gadzurik is now out for the next 3-4 weeks with an injury. When it rains it really pours as we are missing our two best big men now which means we won;t have much inside presence and we already don;t have much of an outside presence. Saturday #18 UCLA beats Oregon State 95-56. #11 USC beats Oregon 99-71. #12 Providence beats Virginia Tech 89-61. #3 Michigan State beats Iowa 69-61. Michigan upsets #19 Illinois 86-78. Mississippi State upsets #8 Mississippi in overtime, 75-72. #25 Xavier beats La Salle 83-68. #6 Indiana beats Drake 72-63. Lafayette upsets #6 Duke 73-65. Sunday #23 Syracuse beats Miami 91-64. #22 Oklahoma beats Baylor 101-53. #7 Cincinnati beats St. Louis 93-67. The regular season has ended and it's tournament time. We finished at the 10 seed in the conference and will be playing Richmond, the number 7 in the conference. Good news for freshman center Reggie Gadzurik as he was named the Frosh of the Year for the Atlantic 10. That could mean good things for the next couple seasons, but we'll be missing him for the tournament with the injury.
