Player file question
I used Open Office to edit the player file, closed the header and saved. I loaded file into the game, now all the players have quotation marks around their first and last names. eg "Adrian" "Peterson" Any ideas how to remove the quote marks, thanks.

This is a CSV? Maybe Open Office added quotes to all the fields. You should be able to change the export settings so it doesn't do that.

i have had issues with how open office introduces quotes and adds commas when using .csv's. Specifically some of the stelmack applications dont like those files to be edited...

my solution was to actually edit the file in notepad to get it fixed, never found an open office solution.

just thought of this, but if you are into programming, perhaps a quick perl script would suffice to correct the file after you have saved it with open office

I opened the csv file and did a search and replace all putting the quotation marks in the find block and left the replace with blank. It worked for me.
