Arrested Development??

In one of my MP leagues, I have a 4th year player rated 46/54 (His experience tag is 80%). When he came out as a rookie, he was rated somewhere around 30/56. During his first two seasons, he progressed normally until he got to his current rating of 46. For the past two season, despite getting plenty of playing time, his ratings have held at 46/54 and his experience tag has stayed at 80%.

Like everyone else, I've had plenty of players that have never achieved their initial future rating, but I've never had a player (Provided they've gotten legit playing time) remain partially developed at the same rating for two full seasons.

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes I had an issue something like this with a SP career, had traded for a (supposedly) 25/65 QB or some such guy in his second year. Started him for one year and he went to 35/65. Started him for one more year and he was still 35/65. Drafted a new guy and after that Training Camp (QB's 4th) he showed as 35/35. He didn't see the field that year and promptly retired after his 4th year. It set my team back a couple years because I had traded a few draft picks to get him.

So it would seem something like the same deal, usually players not getting their full ratings will have their future potential slowly creep down as current slowly creeps up, my guy was stuck at 35/65 for 1.5 years.

UPDATE

I had to know that, as soon as I posted this, something would happen.

The league that this player is in just completed the 2010 season. The player's ratings in Coach Hiring 1 are now 46/46. But, it's interesting to note, he is still only showing 80% developed (But has no green left on his bars).

I'm curious to see if he's going to be a creeper or just sit at 46/46 now.

If he's only showing 80% dev, he'll creep. I'd say somewhere in the upper 50's.
