Error 1324...Anyone have problems with it before?

OK, I am trying to uninstall my AT&T Communication Manager software or even just install an updated version.

I am getting error 1324: the path Research In Motion has an invalid character.

I have gone to M$ and searched over there, worked through the different support suggestions and nothing.

I am just curious as to what to do, I have a new air card and I have to have it working by Friday before I travel again, it's been painful not having the internet while on the road unless I am willing to pay for it at the hotel.

I had something like this before, and from what I remember, I had some incorrect setting in the registry for UserShellFolders. Do a reg search on that, and maybe one of the entries there might give you a clue.

Did you perhaps put a \ instead of a / in the path or some other invalid character like a question mark or something like that?

How long is the path? Not sure if Windoes ever fixed file name sizes and perhaps the file that it is trying to access has too many characters (can't remember if it's 24 or 32 for the limit) in its name?

If "Research in Motion" is a path that you manually input, you could try changing it to "Research%20in%20Motion". Could be that the installer is choking on the spaces.
