Some ideas for new version

Firstly, any ideas when the next FOF is out?

Some ideas:
It's been a while since I've played so some of these may be in the game. I've tried to list unique comments, but some may have been stated already.

1. Draft day trades.
(a) It would be really cool to have teams make trade offers during the draft (a window can popup or something)...also including the "1st rnd next year for 2nd rnd this year" recent trend that can be done if the player available is desired that much.
(b) I'd like to know which teams are considering moving up in the draft, what they would likely been desiring. These "rumors" are often public knowledge - many rumors had the Jets trying to trade up to get Sanchez. It would be nice to know this so that I can make decisions accordingly.
(c) I'd like to see teams be more likely to trade a pick(s) should the draft pool be perceived not very good.
(d) A chart or rating for (i) GMs to draft w.r.t. need versus best player available (ii) tendency/likelihood of trading up/down.
(e) A "risk" meter on each player...not w.r.t. the ratings, but whether the player seems that he "has all the talent" but will probably not produce at the level expected. For example, a T which has high skill level, but is lazy will not produce up to his potential...even though his ratings are quite high.
(f) Injuries in college listed, and effect their "risk" rating...
(g) Players with "attidues/diva/drug and other issues" can slip in the draft - but may not show that at the pro level -- depending on discipline of coach/mentors/etc and can "grow out of it" given time...

2. Game Play.
(a) Players rating in discipline has impact on rate of penalties called against them. The coaches rating is still in effect - it serves to increase/decrease the players probability.
(b) Physical attributes (height/weight/vertical) have influence in their ability...example if you've got a 5'6" corner covering a 6'3" receiver the corner should stand no chance at stopping the catch, and probably will have a tough time tackling.
(c) WR/CB rated for ability in short, mid and deep, in 1-1, traffic/double coverage plays.
(d) "rush offense" versus "2 min"...rush is faster than usual but not quite the drill. Would mean the O/D can't take people off the field but player fatigue increases a bit more.

3. A new GM/coach hired.
(a) Unless certain key players are near the top of the league, the new regime has a tendency to "put their face on the franchise" ala the broncos trading cutler.

4. General.
(a) See Draft (e) applied to players during FA time.

Just some random thoughts...

5. Ability to outfit your own workout room and then assign workouts to each of your players. Track their progress as they go through a list of up to 100 weight training, flexibility, speed, and cardio workouts.

6. Take player health to the next level with control over training table offerings. Plan menus, track player calorie intake, devise new recipes. Control the amount of riboflavin or zinc your players are getting. Cramping up on game day? Reformulate the sodium levels in their sideline sportsdrink!

I have a million more ideas like this - those were right off of the top of my head. I should probably save them for the board game I am making, but I am stuck on handcutting eleven-sided dice from a Arkansas Chestnut I just cut down over the weekend.

7. Choose which sports drink manufacturer will sponsor your team. Decide between several possible flavors for the post-win dunking of your coach. Select which players should hoist the tub, and which should distract the coach.

Instead of being humourous, I'll be serious.

I'd like to see / be notified of fallings out between teams and players. Maybe a "News" email, maybe an Assistant GM or something, but I'd like to know that Player C(utler) has had a falling out with Team B(roncos) and is VERY availible for a trade.

Also, maybe some mid-season suspensions, either from the League (Cheddar Plax style), or just from the team (Keyshawn in Tampa style). Dependant on "Red Flag" status, and/or attitude ("I'm not playing?! Frak you!").

Ability to sort players by attributes. I hate having to sort through all the RBs and WRs and CBs and Ss to find a good KR.
