This will be my attempt to start a career and keep tabs on the goings on of the UFC. I believe the game allows about 7 years of a career so we'll run it until it ends.

My fighter will be a template, Dave (Muay Thai/BJJ) in the Light Heavyweight division:



Welcoming me to the TUF finale I have one fight before running down the champs and rankings from the divisions...

A quick outing has me wrap up the Muay Thai clinch, bury some knees and than finish with some brutal stand over you ground and pound to a TKO finish.

Round 1 saw me on my back twice but I was able to pull him down into my guard repeatedly but began to worry about how worn down I was getting but at the end of the bell Matt was bleeding from his nose on the way to his corner.

In round 2 we exchanged blows before I was able to wrap my hands around the back of his head and pull him down into a triple of knees to the face the 3rd of which saw little birdies flying about his head.

Early on Im able to slap the clinch on him and drop some knees but coming out of it I take some punches and then a nasty high kick that opens me up above my left eye. After regrouping a bit, Im able to wrap my hands around him again and pound some knees into his face one of which knocks him on his butt. Im standing over him in an instant dropping some right s and then switch to the left which finds it's way through his gloves until the ref, Mario Yamasaki, calls a stop to it:

Round 1 found us trading blows but I was dominant. However exhausted I was by the end of it. Karl had a nasty gash open on his left cheek and I was a bit nervous going into round two that my lack of stamina would lead to a fluke KO. Rd 1 saw me get opened up under my Left eye and it was nasty and bleeding all over the place. We struck back and forth and at one point he tried to get a leg lock on me and I was able to escape it. He was very good at defending my knees from within the clinch.

Rd 2 saw more trading blows but Kevin started to take it to the ground and at one point tried to get me in a triangle choke but I escaped. We continued the back and forth, however in one major exchange he landed a left elbow and I went down like a bag of bricks. I didnt see what hit me.

Steve Mazzagatti got a front row seat to a Muay Thai clinic...

I gave some leg kicks BUT the game was to lock him up and whip knee to death....which I was able to do but only after finding myself on my back where Oro fell into a triangle attempt that I couldnt cinch in....however it allowed me to get to my feet where I eventually knocked him out with a whip knee to the nose.

Man I just couldnt get anything going against Mitchell, the Muay Thai/BJJ specialist. He had leg kicks which I dont and rocked me in round 1 with one. I was able to shake off the cobwebs but he had too many weapons. Finally near the end of round 1 he was able to knock my block off with a head leg kick and it was over.

A few days later Silva sends us the fight email for UFN 34, in 7 weeks, again not knowing who Ill fight but wanting to confirm my availability....Im available and smarting from my most recent loss. I need to learn how to kick someone in the head.

I also get a crappy email from Dana:

"This is a wake up call, Dave. Take that last fight, that mess of a last fight, and use it as an example of everything not to do.

You got beaten, and you didnt have to get beaten. Go back to the gym and fill in the gaps in your game. But more importantly, figure out how you're going to get back that intensity we saw in you. When we brought you into the UFC, you were a warrior. I need that warrior back.

This matchup saw me being a little more focused and I mixed it up a bit more, shot in once taking him down for a little ground and pound. He was eventually able to kick me out of it but it was the beginning of the end as when we stood up I got him into the third, and most succesful Muay Thai Clinch of the match rocking him onto his back from a knee to the face. I was on top of him quickly raining punches down on his face until Mario Yamasaki had to call the fight.
