RB Elusiveness

I have a good RB, not great, who excels mostly in the passing game with very good avoid drops, RR, and GD. Where he doesn't do well is in the running game and his only flawed category is Elusiveness. I have a very good O-line, but his ypc has hovered around 4.0.

According to the help file, elusiveness is the ability
to occasionally break long runs at the expense of sometimes getting
caught behind the line of scrimmage (like Barry Sanders, I presume). So, what is the difference between low and high elusiveness?

Essentially 3-7 yard runs on a 4 YPC average more consistantly with low elus and more desparity on runs with higher elus having majority of runs be -2 to 12 yards to get the 4 yard average.

Elusiveness is the #1 trait I look for in an RB. I've actually found that you can get decent production out of a back that has very high elusiveness (80+) but is piss poor at everything else (20-)
