FOF and Windows 7
Is anyone running FOF in Windows 7? Any issues that came up?

Running fine. I installed outside of Program Files (set up a Games dir for all these older games that write to their install folder), did the "Run As Administrator" for the initial licensing run, and it's all set.

Ditto. I let it install in the default directory on a 64-bit box, so just had to change my .bat files (for 'Program Files (x86)') Ran as administrator, not a problem.

Ok...maybe I am completely dense on this subject (which is entirely possible), but what is the process of transferring FOF2007 from Windows XP laptop to a laptop with Windows 7. How do I download the game and move over the elicense?

Unlicense on the first computer (if you don't have the option when right-clicking, you can run "frfoot2007.exe -unlicense" to do it).
Install on the second. Download from solecismic, or it's linked from the reference thread. Move/copy any data files you want. You can just move the entire universe and leagues folders if you want everything.

The download on Solecismic sends me to the eLicense store and asks for payment...so I am not seeing where to download otherwise?

Thank you for your help! I eventually pulled my head of my a** and downloaded the game. I licensed the game, do i have to unlicense the other one or does it matter? Last question .... I copied the universe from the old laptop and pasted onto the new one but when i open the game it doesnt show any saved games. How do i ge the saved games to load from the old laptop?

You get two active licenses. You'll want to unlicense from the old box to make future installs easier. There's a file that lists the saved games. I thought it was in universe. Did you also copy leagues? That's where the actual game data is. Or in other words, follow the three steps I listed above ![]()

I can see all the saved games when i open the universe folder but when I open the game they are not listed on the new laptop. The League folder is completely empty on the old computer. I'm sure I am missing something very simple but frustrating never the less.
