Draft Questions
I'm looking for some opinions on a handful of draft questions. I have played a lot of FOF, but (due to time) this is probably the most I have looked into finding some answers/opinions for FOF2007:
1. Are players with zeroed out endurance ratings worth drafting at all? I tend to mentally eliminate these guys for some reason. Am I missing out? 2. Are players that are less than (say) 5% developed worth drafting? Again, I tend to mentally eliminate these guys with the thinking that they aren't going to be good enough to even sniff the field for several years. I will sometimes take a guy that is considerably less talented (bars-wise) if he is 40%+ developed on draft day. 3. This is the biggie and motivation for this thread: How much or how little favor do we give the scouts' opinion on underrated vs overrated? I feel like I almost eliminate guys, at least in the first or second round, if they are labeled as overrated and that I tend to reach for guys that look less talented (again, bar-wise) if they are labeled ad underrated or very underrated. How much weight should I give underrated vs overrated? Looking forward to seeing some opinions. I hadn't played much, for a couple of years (and really, I feel like I never gave 2007 as much time as I did past versions due to time constraints), and feel like I have a lot to learn. |

Last I was aware, the only reason to interview a player was to find a QB's Intelligence rating so you could combine it with the Solecismic score to determine the hidden "avoid interceptions" rating. Thanks to masking, interviewing is pretty much worthless.

It depends. My FBs don't see the field that much so it wouldn't effect them, or if the guy was going to be my WLB it would again not effect him. I guess it depends, if a player was by far the best in his field and only his endurance was against him would you really want to go for someone worse? Quote:
If I'm just starting out with a weak squad and not in the playoff race, I don't worry and if the guy has potential I'll start him. I have had some extremely good young, undeveloped players in the past. If I really liked the guy I wouldn't let it put me off, but I do take it into consideration. Quote:
I look at it this way: Overrated, As Scouted & Underrated you are "usually" looking at a few rating points either way. Very Underrated/Overrated player "could" be considerably Better/Worse than I am seeing. |
