Very funny. A lot of great subtle stuff. For some reason, I laughed out loud just at the way the guy at the head of the conference table slammed his fist to the table. I don't even know why that was so funny.

Great start to the season, much better than last season's stinker. Hope they can keep it up and be more consistent.

Comedy gold if you ask me. I didn't know the title of the episode, and damn near pissed myself laughing when I heard Sexual Healing playing in the background at the end.

EA Sports might sue Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

Quote:
When our source at the company contacted us, he said that “soon after the airing of the episode the top beef were called in, even Peter Moore was informed of the situation” he continued to say that “before the episode aired the marketing folks were already worried, but now they have a lot more to worry about”. Our source later goes into details about a possible lawsuit, saying that “while I personally found the episode quite funny, there are definitely a few copyright infringements in there that I’m sure will be dealt with accordingly”.

Full article here.

Do they have any kind of case here? The article says it wouldn't be the first time something like this happened to Parker and Stone and they haven't lost a case yet. Hopefully that continues.

Guess it depends on who you ask:
EA: Rumors of lawsuit over South Park episode are 'nonsense' -- Joystiq

We contacted EA to get to the bottom of this, to which an EA spokesperson commented the rumored impending lawsuit is "nonsense." So, there you have it: EA is not suing over the episode. Nothing else to see here -- move along.

I say "Fair Use" and EA loses or drops the case.

Or what TK said...

A bit disappointing if you ask me. While I appreciate (and agree with) the point they were trying to get across, the execution felt weak. I did enjoy watching the Kardashians get blown away though.

Yeah, they were pretty brutal. The last scene almost sounded like they were making fun of how all that matters in Hollywood is that your attractive. Or they could have been playing on the "reading into something that isn't there" theme.

But yeah, they weren't exactly subtle in the attacks on SJP.

The scoop on this week's episode:

Quote:
A MEDICINAL MARIJUANA SHOP IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS IN AN ALL-NEW "SOUTH PARK" ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31 AT 10:00 P.M. ON COMEDY CENTRAL

NEW YORK, March 29, 2010 - Cartman's favorite restaurant has been shut down and a store that sells medicinal marijuana moves in on an all-new episode of "South Park" titled "Medicinal Fried Chicken," premiering on Wednesday, March 31 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.

State Law in Colorado says it's legal to smoke pot if you have a physician's reference. Randy is the first-in-line to buy some but he's turned away because there's absolutely nothing wrong with him. Randy is desperate to get a medical excuse to smoke some weed but meanwhile, Cartman will do anything to get his beloved fried chicken restaurant back.

Here's the preview of this week's episode. The clip ends with a NSFW utterance.

Quote:
STAN GETS SUCKED INTO FACEBOOK IN AN ALL-NEW "SOUTH PARK" ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7 AT 10:00 P.M. ON COMEDY CENTRAL

NEW YORK, April 5, 2010 - Stan and Kyle have been through so much together over the years but it all means nothing if Stan won't "friend" Kyle in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled "You Have 0 Friends," premiering on Wednesday, April 7 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.

Kyle "friended" the wrong person and now all of his old friends are deserting him. His situation is desperate. Kyle looks for help from the one person who has always been there for him.

This season's been so good, my wife was even paying attention and laughing. She loved the FB ep, but even busted out laughing at the ball-sack-hopping stuff. She usually dismisses SP outright and ignores it.
