I play a 4-5-1, but my question could apply to a 3-5-2 also. When adding the third inner midfielder, which middie should I put as the one who is the "extra" (either the defender as "extra inner midfielder" or in my cas, the forward as "extra inner midfield")???
Sy I have 3 middies and they are of three kind of different levels. One is very good, the other is only good and the last one is only average. Which one should be the extra. Reason I ask is because I think I remember reading somewhere that the "extra" won't perform as well as an extra as he would in the real inner midfield spot. Is that how it is? Also I know the "extra" can't have any special orders, so maybe I could plug in there the one without any special use for me. Thanks in advance. FrogMan

Well first off, you want to make sure that you don't want to issue any special orders (offensive or defensive) to the player you reposition as the extra IM.
Everyone being equal in that respect, you should play your worst starter as the repositioned player to be on the safe side. To elaborate the rules only say he performs slightly worse. If the same amout of 'performance'(for lack of a better word) is taken away from any player repositioned as an extra IM then it doesn't matter. However if it is a ratio, (IE: 1/20 taken off) then the player with the worst playmaking would lose the least amount of performace, and thus a better midfield rating (although it most likely wouldn't be visible since I imagine decrease in performance is very small). Thanks a lot TP6. That's about how I thought it was.
