Hattrick Question
Alright, I just pulled a goalie who seems very similar to the keeper I already have. I obviously would like to sell one to make some money and I am wondering which one I should keep.
Will Kuykendall (7496711) 20 years, weak form, healthy A pleasant guy who is balanced and dishonest. Has disastrous experience and solid leadership abilities. Nationality: USA Assessed value: 175 000 US$ Wage: 1 590 US$/week Owner: McGees Warnings: 0 Stamina: passable Goaltending: passable Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous Winger: wretched Defending: disastrous Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: inadequate Will Kuykendall is my current goalie. Here is my youth pull. Lionel Holton (10960937) 21 years, passable form, healthy A pleasant guy who is calm and dishonest. Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities. Nationality: USA Assessed value: 214 000 US$ Wage: 1 780 US$/week Owner: McGees Warnings: 0 Stamina: wretched Goaltending: passable Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: wretched I was thinking of keeping them both until Holton's stamina gets better but I would like to hear other people's opinions. Should I keep them both, train Holton then put Kuykendall on the transfer market. Or keep Kuykendall and put Holton on the transfer market. Thanks in advance.

I would keep Holton- He is at passable form, while the other is at weak. He is valued at $35k more than Kuykendall (and Kuykendall has stamina rasing his value, so it is probably more) that means he is a higher passable....Holton is the better keeper.
"until Holton's stamina gets better" it was my understanding that Stamina does not affect keepers at all, maybe someone else will know for sure. Last edited by Doug5984 : 04-12-2003 at 10:41 PM. |

Yep, Holton is the better keeper and stamina does not affect them.

lol stamina...
I play keeper in real life, you need stamina, especially on those hot days! I played in Saudi Arabia 2 years ago, it was short sided, so I did some "playmaking" as well. anyway, yeah... stamina has ZERO effect on keeps in this game.

Stamina is rather irrelevant for a keeper so I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor. Also, if you follow the routine to train stamina in the 2 weeks offseason then his stamina will improve regardless.
The two things I would look at between those two are the values and the leaderships. Holton's value is a fair bit higher which means he's a better keeper. Of course, their respective forms does effect that some. The other thing is the leaderships. Kuykendall, while not a 'clown', is good enough to be your team's gameday captain and provide some pseudo-clown positive effect. If you can afford it, one thing you might consider is to keep both for a brief period of time and keep extensive record of their respective forms. If one has a tendency to have a dip in form - a possible indication of a low 'base' form - you might consider selling that one. That and maybe the possibility of training keepers while you have them both. |

I should be able to afford it so I figure at the moment I will keep them both and just see how each does. Thanks for the help everyone.

He is in the Air Force, so it might have been while he was stationed over there.

In this case, it was because I'm in the USAF and I was over there. We play the Brits, the French, and the Saudis.
I have played international when I was younger, but that's a longer story.
