Wink Offensive Tackle Running the Ball?

Dynasty Football League, Oakland Predators, actually had an O.T. run the ball at the start of the second half.

Start of third quarter. (3Q: 15:00) Bobby Spencer kicked off 68 yards from the SYR30. John Barevics returned the ball 7 yards to the OAK09. Tackled by Kevin Kassulke. Ball was fumbled and recovered by OAK Leo Truong on the OAK09. Oakland: Pro formation with two tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 and 3-deep zone coverage, expecting the run. Frisch is blitzing.
1-10-OAK09 (3Q: 14:39) Max Zielinski sacked by ILB The Freak Frisch for a loss of 8 yards. Sack allowed by Well Hung O'Neal.
Oakland: Five-Receiver Spread formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, expecting the pass.
2-18-OAK01 (3Q: 14:06) Pat Lareche ran inside the left tackle for 0 yards. Tackled by DT Devin Grier.

lol - from the way that half started looks like the Predators have lots of issues, and a ballhogging LT is just another one.

Seriously I had DLmen and LBs catching the ball before. Check and make sure you don't have "any player" selected in one of your formations. That was what was causing the odd pass targets for me. Even had my QB complete a pass to himself 14 yards downfield. lol

A tackle-rooski from a 5WR formation? I love it! About as much as I love the 5WR formation from their own one. Who's calling these plays? They'll either be known as a football genius, or just as another insane coach like the guy who used to coach Univ of Kentucky.

Probably should have run it somewhere besides LT though. Might be why it got zero yards ... no one was blocking at LT!

I do wish this game had a play editor. Because now I've got two different 'tackle-rooski' plays from a 5WR formation in mind. Both have to be trick/misdirection plays of course.

1) QB starts to roll left like he's going to head for that wing to either run it or rollout pass. But, as he goes by, he slips the ball into the LT's hands who then heads back the other way and tries to run behind the RG/RT

2) A double reverse type of play where the receiver running the ball coming from the right tries to slip the ball to the LT as he goes by. LT then heads back to the right side hoping no one notices the big 320 lb guy has the ball.

Ah, the things a coach will do to get the ball in to the hands of one of his 320lb play-makers. Although, if a team went dime against that 5WR, and if the T got clear of the line with the ball in his hands, I'd love to see some 175 lb CB trying to tackle him. Please let TV get a closeup on the CB's face and eyes as he figures out he's got to try to tackle this guy!

A play editor would be so much fun! Even though neither of these is likely to work, it sure would be fun dreaming them up.

I had about the same situation some time ago (look here) and it was the LT running the ball there, too.. no wonder those guys tend to get big contracts if they're not only expected to block run and pass, but to run themselves..
