My Dilemma - which game to get.

My wife and I agreed to spend some of our tax money on ourselves and we have budgeted $50 each.

I want each of the following games and cannot decide which one to get.

OOTP5
TDCB
FOF4
CM4

I already own and enjoy FOF2K1 and CM 01/02 so I am leaning to the other two, but I could be persuaded to get the upgrades.

Help!

I've played three of the four (FOF4, TDCB, OOTP5), so I can't comment on CM4. If you're a baseball fan at all, I'd go for OOTP5.

Yeah, me too. OOTP5 is the game that eats more of my free time than any other game I own (including my XBox games).

I am a big anti-soccer guy, BUT

Championship Manager is easily the best text sim I've ever played. My wife is perplexed, "you are spending all this time on a SOCCER game?"

I have found all the games you mention to be worthwhile, with FOF4 being the least compelling.

My wife has graciously agreed to let me gamble the tax money away on our upcoming Vegas trip.

Tough choices, but since you have a soccer and football sim already, I would either go for ootp5 or TDCB.

TDCB is the first inclination, so it's not perfect, but addicting as heck. Ootp5, well.. is baseball at its best, imo.

I'll trade you my copy of FOF4 for a copy of Net Detective.

My choice would be TDCB if, and that's a huge if, the kinks have been worked out for the most part and also if, another huge one, Windows 98 users (which includes me) don't have to wait hours (yes, literally hours) for the game to Load and Save..

I don't own it yet, and this is why.. Although I am anxiously waiting for these things to get fixed. UCF Basketball Awaits!!

Darn. I just got rid of Net Detective. Would you like a new operating system. I have a copy of Windows 3.0 on 5.25" floppies that you could have.

I am like SkyDog as well.

I have only played OOTP5, TDCB and FOF4.

I believe are 3 games are nice to have. But if I had to rank them as they stand right, especially now that Markus has released another extensive patch, here is how I would rank them.

1. OOTP5
2. TDCB
3. FOF4

I haven't played CM4, so I cannot comment on it.

Good Luck with your decision, Splitty!

Order CM4 now and you will not get it before your next tax return.

i would go with cm4 as i believe the "finished" product will be the best of the group but i see all 4 as "must have" games

Apparently the folks at CM forgot to add a word to the Product Sender's Address Info at their site.. It should read, United Kingdom, Jupiter.
