Mariotti (from ESPN's Around The Horn) arrested for domestic something or other. Always thought he was a tool, and regardless of what did or did not happen with this, he has proven himself to be an oversized turd.

Jay Mariotti arrested on felony

ESPN.com news services

LOS ANGELES -- ESPN personality and AOL sports columnist Jay Mariotti has been arrested on a felony charge in Los Angeles.
Officer Norma Eisenman says the 51-year-old Mariotti was arrested early Saturday in the police department's Pacific Division following a "domestic incident." Eisenman declined to provide further details.
The Sheriff's Department website confirms Mariotti was booked on an undisclosed felony charge at 5:45 a.m.
He was released on $50,000 bail just after noon Saturday.
ESPN spokesperson Josh Krulewitz said, "We've just learned of it and are looking into it," declining further comment.
Mariotti lives in Los Angeles. He is a panelist on the ESPN show "Around the Horn" and writes a regular column for the sports website Fanhouse.com, which is owned by AOL.
He was a longtime columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times.
FanHouse editor-in-chief Scott Ridge said, "We are in the process of gathering the facts, and we have no further comment at this time."
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Almost verbatim what my first thought was. Even if that makes me a dick, at least I'm not alone!

It's always nice how we like to judge people before the facts are in.

Actually, no one's judging him on this specific action. If you read all of the posts above you, they are pretty specifically pointing out Mariotti is a historical tool in general, not on this, of which we know nothing about.

I actually hope he's innocent and still spends time in jail. That'll really chap his hide and hopefully he'll punch a guard and get more time in the hole. Sanctimonious douchebag.

I'm judging him on the facts of who he is, not this incident. I hope he is innocent - then he can put his blowhard, holier than thou attitude to good use for a change.
