Since mattyeah was unable to finish a 2010 roster file, I'm going to go ahead and post mine.

A few notes:

Things you may not like:

CONTRACTS

I couldn't find a source for 2010 player contracts... which was fine by me, since I had planned on using it for a single season replay only. But, you will find many players with 1 year/300k contracts. Actually, if anyone can find a source for player contract info, please post it. I might add that info in the future.

PLAYER INFO

Many players have incorrect DOB, Hometown, college/draft, heigh/weight, ect... that is just WAY TOO much work. If you want to do it on your own, knock yourself out.

ROSTERS

I got this info before the season, and I was able to catch of few transactions since then (Leinart to the Texans, McNiel finally signed with Chargers), but I'm sure I didn't catch them all. Also, they did not include players who went to IR... (Warren of the Pats). I did the best I could to get all the changes, but I KNOW I missed a few.

I'm including the .csv file, so I suggest before you start, take a glance at your team just to make sure you are happy.

PLAYER RATINGS

Like mattyeah did in 2009, I just did the global rating and let the AI translate the number to fill in all the specific numbers. I wouldn't even know how to rate most of the players on my favorite team, so I used madden 2011 to rate them:

to keep the game in balance, according to the FoF readme files, I used this formula:

Again, check your team. I haven't had time to do a lot of single season tests... in fact, I only did one. I just checked the standings. The best record was 14-2 and the worst was 3-13... won't tell you who it was. I did not look at any individual stats yet.

If you are not happy with the ratings Madden 2011 has, change them. Like mattyeah said, it's pretty easy to do and only takes a little time.

Yeaaaaah.... nahhh. I don't know how. I wish I could. I wish you could. If you can, I will be impressed.


If there are any glaring problems you find, please post here for others to change in the future.

Finally, I think I better thank mattyeah. I may have used your 2009 file as a base. I'm not sure... I downloaded/extracted a few different rosters starting out, but regardless, thanks for the file. I enjoyed it last year. Hope you dad gets better.

ahhh crap... found a major mistake.

I forgot to add throwing styles to new QB's, so rookie qb's (sam bradford) will have a 0/0 rating.

You can change this yourself (column AL of the excel file) to fix it. There should be a .txt file in your FoF folder that explains all the columns... or you can wait for me to change it tomorrow.

hi, just downloaded file ...looks ok all the players there but no frank zombo OLB for Green Bay..he has started some games for us already..itll be great if you could add him in your update...looking forward to it

Anyone else having a problem editing this? I tried to correct the height and weight of Remi Ayodele on the Saints and saved it. upon reload it wouldn't correct it. The guy is a DT weighing 318lbs but in the game he is listed as 245lbs.

Dad thank god has improved a lot able to look after himself, back at home now and happened to see that rdklein has created a 2010 roster, give me a week and I'll refine his work (increase a lot of ratings (thinks he put up numbers for a 1750 player file, when this is more like 2225), put in a few missing players (L.Mankins, T.Warren) and redo all the rookie contracts and adjust experience). Thanks to rdklein for your hard work, Ijust wanna polish it up a bit.

Thanks to the both of you! I tried to borrow it and put in some Raider rookies, but I am like an ape typing on a keyboard when it comes to spreadsheets. It makes you appreciate all the hard work you guys do on these things. Talk about time consuming!

Well, new FOF has roster update on it...

Anyway will have the revised file up on r/share by Sunday or Monday at the latest, made cut-off point the trade deadline so for instance 84 will be back in Minnesota (sorry Pat's fans no future dp's for that one, silly move in my opinion anyway). Just adding a few missing players, and revising the rookie contracts then will put it up for you all. Once again thanks rdklein for your base file.

Well I'll see what the rating are like, will probably continue with mine though, because I tend to find rookie ratings are way too high with the official updates, so you'll all have options

Mr Indecisive here, after a longer look at the new patch player file I'm not liking some of the general player ratings I'm seeing so I will continue, sorta want to anyway since I've spent quite a few hours on it.

i for one am really glad you are going to continue on with your roster update..dowwnloaded the new patch but will prefer to use yours...especially if you have a bigger free agency(experianced players).

That I definitely will, the patch file is about 1850 mine or should I say rdklein's is around 2500
