Poll: Reducing NFL violence

The NFL wants to reduce the violent hits on gameday. Use whatever standard you want for "egregiously violent" but assume you notice something missing.

Of course we'll keep watching. Did fans quit watching when they banned clothes-linging? Did they stop when they banned horse collaring?

No. Life will go on.

Where's the "I'll keep watching but make jokes about the rules" option?

I'll keep watching.

But, as a 40 year old balding overweight male, I refuse to give up my right to comment on how they are wimps. I also refuse to give up my right to comment on the hotness of females.

I'll quit watching if/when it gets to a point where it's a complete joke.

They could eliminate 99% of concussions in the game if they made it illegal to come within five yards of any offensive player. Don't laugh, we're pretty damn close to that point as it is.

I'd probably switch to watching a sport like bowling.

I'll continue to beat my trout but I'll start watching out for the helmet-to-helmet hits.

Found this on David Trout...

"Merf Trout (6’1 215, Graceland University) Trout, son of former NFL and USFL kicker David Trout who spent the 1981 and 1987 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and 1983-1985 with the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars."

*edit*

Looks like he led the USFL in points in 1983! (pics included)

USFL - United States Football League

Too bad there isn't a football video game that features the USFL.
