I think I'll finally pick it up. I was waiting for OOTP12, but what the heck.

Wow. I guess it might be almost time for me to upgrade as well.

details? examples?

A blanket statement doesn't mean much without at least something to back it up.

I might give it a try. Haven't played OOTP since the 2006 or 2007 version.

I just picked this up, and it really has come quite a ways from the initial SI merger. Only played about a season but I really have to say its a remarkable game.

Same here. It really feels like more of a game, rather than a simulation program to me (if that makes sense). I bought it last time it was on sale, started up a game and am in 2037 now. I can generally play a season a night, when I have time (which I like).

There is a bit of a learning curve. Particularly with navigating through the pages until you figure out your favorites and getting the settings to your liking. And, I will add that I turned off most of my emails because I like to zip through a season (making adjustments only w/ injuries and when I see someone/something isn't working) and it helped me out quite a bit.

I've been really enjoying this game, and played it a ton. I finally got into a groove of how I like to play, which I never did in OOTP X, and it's great.
