Winger Help....and Special orders
I have been trying to get my teams attack higher since my team has been scoring what I consider to be to few goals....I was wondering how much does it take away from my midfield rating if I play a winger as offensive, or defensive....Here are my wingers and what I normally do...
Dwight Moon 84 000 US$, 21 years, passable form Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: inadequate Passing: passable Winger: passable Defending: poor Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate He is my # 1 winger, and I have played him offensivly for 5 games in a row and in every one of those games he has put up 2.5*, before then I played him normally and he only put up 2*, So I think what I am currently doing with him is correct...although his inadequate playmaking is tempting me to try playing him 'towards middle' Tyrone Hightower 90 000 US$, 20 years, solid form Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: passable Winger: inadequate Defending: wretched Scoring: weak Set Pieces: solid He has been off and on my # 2 winger, He has put up 2* in my last 4 games, but the 3 games he played in prior to that he only put up 1.5. If I play him offensive or normal he still gets 2 stars so I am kinda in a delima here- I played him offensivley 2 weeks ago and my midfield was 'poor' I played him normal this week and my midfield was inadequate, did he have a large effect on this? Fons Pinoy 78 000 US$, 18 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and wretched leadership abilities [Powerful] Stamina: passable Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: weak Passing: wretched Winger: passable Defending: inadequate Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: weak I bought Fons to train him as a wingback, but with his weak playmaking I have been considering playing him as a normal winger in league games then as a wingback in friendlies to still get him training...He has only played 1 game for me as a wingback but got 2*, Would playing him as an offensive wingback help boost my midfield rating? Would playing him as a defensive winger be better? Hartwig Blissenbach 26 000 US$, 20 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities [Unpredictable] Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: wretched Winger: passable Defending: weak Scoring: poor Set Pieces: poor Currently he is the # 3 winger on my depth chart, I had bought him to replace Hightower but he has been a dissapointment...He has only played 2 games and only put up 1.5* in each of those, His passing sucks so it seems pointless to play him offensivley, he has decent D and Playmaking so would playing him normal or defensive be a better idea? So currently my wingers are Moon & Hightower, with Blissenbach the # 1 backup...and Pinoy a backup D-winger....Should this be changed any? And what are some special orders that could be helpful? Thanks in advance for any help.... Last edited by Doug5984 : 04-21-2003 at 02:54 PM. |

Moon and Hightower are the two to start, and I'd put them both offensive I think. Hightower, I think, has to be offensive, otherwise he's just as inadequate winger. Moon could be normal or towards middle, but he's best suited for offensive as well.
Can your midfield withstand the hit that would take? Pinoy could play as a normal wingback or defensive winger. Not sure I'd look to him to be an offensive wingback, though. Blissenbach, I guess, could be a normal, maybe defensive if you absolutely have to. But he's not really very good.

Well....I am not really sure, in my league match 2 weeks ago I played both offensivly and my midfield was rated as poor, after that game I went out and bought another Inner midfielder (who put up 2.5* before I bought him, but only 2* since I bought him)....So in my most recent league game I had the new Inner mid. and I played Hightower as normal and my midfield was rated as inadequate, Would it be safe to assume that the jump in midfield was based more on the new player instead of hightower playing normal? Would I be safe in playing Hightower offensive and Moon normal or towards middle (I have always played him offensive so I am not sure what to expect from him otherwise)....I have a pretty big game this weekend so I am not really looking to take a big gamble that could possibly cause me to lose... |
