They are a lot of things, but it isn't stupid. It's the people who continue to support them despite pillaging their coastline over and over.

They are going to a site near the Matterhorn well site about 20 miles north of the BP Deepwater Horizon site, according to the paper. The Matterhorn field includes includes a deepwater drilling platform owned by W&T Technology. It was acquired last year from TotalFinaElf E&P.

Ok...what am I missing...doesnt look like this is even a BP rig...why is it stupid BP?

If its real it is 30 miles from the last one but does that make BP at fault?

I see no information that this has anything to do with BP.

Isn't this "muck" that they found to be naturally occurring - it was actually river sediment or something? I could have sworn I read this on cnn.com this morning.

Quite sure it rains oil, nowadays anyway? Personally, I'm shocked the greedy multi-trillion dollar corporation, that already negligently leaked oil everywhere, is doing it again.

Gulf Oil Sightings Not From BP Spill, Coast Guard Says - NYTimes.com

Quote:
A rainbow-colored “sheen” spotted in the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend was not oil from the Deepwater Horizon spill, the Coast Guard says. Officials said the sheen was probably caused by large amounts of sediment driven out to sea by high-water volumes on the Mississippi River.
