Question HattrickPoli or HAM? Or Neither?

What's it for you, HattrickPoli or HAM?

I need a "BOTH" choice.... As it's how I'm set up right now. I played with HattrickPoli quite a bit and installed HAM this weekend. I might jump to HAM, as I like the presentation better and everything is automated...

I've decided to go with Excel...I found HTPoli to be frustrating, and this will let me get to know my team intimately.

I'm a registered HAM user. But I use a single spreadsheet to keep track, or training. I find it very useful for planning training. If anyone wants, I'll post the template online. It is a bit dated though... but it has predicted 3/4 pops. But one guy popped before scheduled, so I'm not complaining.

Excel, who said excel, where, where. Here I coooome!!!!!

If we're talking excel spreadsheet, you know I'm there! I got an 8-sheet spreadsheet to track a whole bunch of stuff down. From my whole squad, with numerical values for the 6 main positions, to attendance, to economy, to training and game ratings. Even got my little scenario analyser if I wanna upgrade my stadium... It's a whole lot of fun

I'm also plating with HAM, HattrickPoli, Absolut Manager, Mactrick, MyBestTeam, etc, etc... Am I going overboard a little???

Oh well, I'm having fun for cheap, isn't it the main goal of the whole thing

Heck, you guys should share your Excel stylings with the rest of us.

I've been known to tool around a little (if anyone's seen the current IWS sheet, that's my handiwork) but I can't get started on a hattrick one.

I remember posting a few screendumps of my sheet a while back.

Here is the file. It's not really pretty, but it does the job for me. These screendumps were of about 3 weeks, so the sheets might have changed.

I'v also added a training tracker. Still have not tested it's accuracy, since I have not had any player that popped and remained on my team as of now. You can't really say how it'll take for an inadequate playmaker to pop when you buy him inadequate, since you don't know if he was a high or a low inadequate... Hope I make sense

If anybody's interested, I could probably clean it up and make it available...

and here's what the new training page looks like...

I'm confident it should be fairly accurate...

If you got question, ask tehm here or PM me...

That one is pretty nifty. Mine is a bit more simplified but it lets you plan way into the future...

there are free alternatives to excel, not talking about pirated version... OpenOffice (or is it Staroffice) is one...

How do you set when the player pops? Simply with his age?

I guess everything else (coach and assistant coaches, training level) is pretty much set up perfectly in your case, right?

It's based on a solid coach and 8 assistants. Also at 100% training, which I would highly recommend to everyone that is serious about training. I have a template that apoc sent me (the sheet was designed by him), but it is a bit dated...

I I can't afford to pay physios, would you still recommend the 100% training level??

I currently got a passable coach (spent 100K U$ to upgrade from inadequate to passable, GRRRR!!) 2 keeper trainer and 8 assistants, but I only have 2 physios and I'm worried of going with 100% level training...

I trained at 100% for three seasons with three physios and was never plauged with injuries. Sure I got a couple every now and then, but nothing notable to speak of.

okay, maybe it was simply a fluke and I freaked out. I was at something like 92%, the bumped it up at 96 to start the new season, and BOOM, lost two players to important injuries. One for 6 weeks, the other one for 5 weeks... It hurt.

Maybe I'll try and bump it up and see how it goes from there... thanks for the help!

That was just my experience. In fact the very first post on made on the Hattrick conferences was about which training percentage I should use. I was told 100% and haven't changed it since. I forgot I had money to hire more physios until last season ^^
