NFL WR opinion-help solve an argument
A Seahawks friend of mine and I are arguing and I need the help of FOFC to solve the argument.
Right now who do you take on your team, Mario Manningham or Mike Williams? |

Depends on the scheme and the need. If I want a guy for the slot who has a bit of speed, I'm going for Mario Manningham. If I need a bigger guy on the outside, I'm taking Mike Williams.
If I had to take one, I'll take the younger, faster guy with 9tds over the older, bigger guy who had 2. Especially since MM doesn't have the baggage of Mike Williams (though both guys have baggage galore). Of course, what spurred this argument? And I'd much rather have Mike Wallace over either. Any FOFC Poll that doesn't have a trout option is bunk.

I don't even really remember how it started. I think we were talking about the draft and such and it just kind of went from there.
I realize we aren't talking a clash of titans here or anything. ![]() |

Id take Manningham and its not because of production.
Id be worried if I gave Williams a big paycheck hed get back into his bad habits that almost cost him a NFL career. I sort of like Manningham as a playmaker. |

Mario.
I'm not convinced Mike Williams is out of the woods. He came back from just nothing and I'd be worried he would go right back to nothing just as quickly.

Manningham has less upside, but also less baggage.

This thread is really dumb. I mean, a debate over who is the 43rd best receiver in the NFL? Really?

Fantasy wise, its Manningham and its not close.
If you are going with more skilled receiver, its a little harder because they are completely different receivers. All things being equal, I would go with Manningham because of the skeletons in Williams' closet. |

When I read the 1st post I assumed the one in Tampa since that would be an actual discussion. If it's the fat one from USC then I don't even know why there would be any debate. I'd take TB Mike Williams over Manningham. I'd take Tom Waddle right now over fat Mike Williams. |
