I Just Applied To a Game Show

Got online and applied to be a contestant on the show Wipeout!. If you havent seen it, it is a show where you have to go through an extreme obstacle course above water. It looks like it beats the stuffing out of you. But it looks like a blast.
I just took the 1st step of filling out the application online. Now I have to wait and see if they call.

I hope this comes to fruition. It looks like a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Who's the editor for that? He posted about it a week or two ago.

I have a friend who went on the show and the only time he made it on screen was falling off in the background in the second round. But I also have a friend's brother who won an episode and got quite a decent sum of money (50k I believe) and invited back to win the bigger prize at the end of the season. If you are decently athletic you might stand a chance.

That would be me. Honestly, I'd say go for it. If you've seen the show you have a pretty good idea what you're getting into. Hopefully I'll be back next season and get to edit the bit where you get told you won 50 grand.

If he wins he seriously needs to slip a trout reference in.

Everyone usually has a shtick on that show. Maybe he can be the text sim-playing nerd with a trout fetish.

The trout fetish would work since it is based around water. Im not holding my breath. I dont think I sounded real exciting on the application. But Im not a wordsmith.
I am crossing my fingers. Hoping for a try at it. The problem is the week requirement in L.A. Not sure how that would fly if it happened during the school year.
I am going to start the p90x workout routine soon. So if I make it on the show i might be a little more buff then I am now. Which wouldnt take much.
