I Just Applied To a Game Show
Got online and applied to be a contestant on the show Wipeout!. If you havent seen it, it is a show where you have to go through an extreme obstacle course above water. It looks like it beats the stuffing out of you. But it looks like a blast.
I just took the 1st step of filling out the application online. Now I have to wait and see if they call. I hope this comes to fruition. It looks like a once in a lifetime opportunity. |

Who's the editor for that? He posted about it a week or two ago.

I have a friend who went on the show and the only time he made it on screen was falling off in the background in the second round. But I also have a friend's brother who won an episode and got quite a decent sum of money (50k I believe) and invited back to win the bigger prize at the end of the season. If you are decently athletic you might stand a chance.

That would be me. Honestly, I'd say go for it. If you've seen the show you have a pretty good idea what you're getting into. Hopefully I'll be back next season and get to edit the bit where you get told you won 50 grand. |

If he wins he seriously needs to slip a trout reference in. ![]() |

Everyone usually has a shtick on that show. Maybe he can be the text sim-playing nerd with a trout fetish.

The trout fetish would work since it is based around water. Im not holding my breath. I dont think I sounded real exciting on the application. But Im not a wordsmith.
I am crossing my fingers. Hoping for a try at it. The problem is the week requirement in L.A. Not sure how that would fly if it happened during the school year. I am going to start the p90x workout routine soon. So if I make it on the show i might be a little more buff then I am now. Which wouldnt take much. ![]() |
