Which QB to pick??? Help!
I'm playing a pass-heavy offense, mostly using short/medium passes. I'm in desperate need of a new QB and I'm in position to draft either of the following 2 prospects:
QB 1: 8.1 adjusted grade (7.1 grade) 6-2, 215 very high bars all over the place (almost every bar is completely filled after scouting), except for 'timing' which is average and 'Third Down Passing' which is about 3/4 filled. Style: Long Passes Leadership: 0 Intelligence: 47 Personality: 38 Character Red Flag Volatility: 24 Combine: 44 Sole, 4.45 dash, 18 reps, 7.08 agi, 9-0 broad, 78 position, 32% dev. Scout ('Excellent' with QBs) says he's underrated. QB 2: 7.2 adjusted grade (6.3 grade) 6-4, 228 low to medium bars all over the place Style: Short Passes (which fits my Offensive Style) Leadership: 67 Intelligence: 91 Personality: 19 Volatility: 96 Combine: 54 sole, 4.44 dash, 13 reps, 7.57 agility, 9-3 broad, 91 position, 37% dev. Scout ('Excellent' with QBs) says he's very underrated. QB 1 has clearly the better bars and, on the first look seems the superior prospect. QB 2 has great 'intangibles' and might be a sleeper who could turn out better than his bars suggest. I'm really not an expert, so please help me which QB I should pick as the future of my franchise!!! Last edited by burnum : 08-27-2011 at 06:19 AM. |

QB1 wins, IMO. Still don't believe there is a consensus about what exactly the red flag means, but thats the only negative about him, IMO.

Yeah too many signs of big red bars on the QB1.

QB1 has the superior agility score and also shows a stronger arm. The Sole score seems to be up in the air with the wide margin in intelligence. I'd prefer QB1, but wouldn't mind settling for QB2.

Alright, I picked QB 1. He looks promising (31/76) and QB 2 went off the board one pick after mine. He looks like a bust (16/31) but it's still early...
Edit: After camp QB1 is up to 38/76 and QB2 is up to 17/40. Last edited by burnum : 08-27-2011 at 03:02 PM. |

QB 1 turned out to be a good selection. After 6 seasons he's 86/86, won 2 Superbowls and 1 MVP.
QB 2 turned out as a solid 55/55 player. |
