Multiplayer Question: How is the Draft working ?
Hey guys, i am interested in joining a league but would like to know how the draft works ? Is it a "live draft" of sorts ? Being in Europe would make that a little complicated for me i assume.

We have a draft utility where you put up draft lists. In the WOOF the 1st round is near live, by the time we hit late round 3 everyone is list-picking. Check in periodically and keep the list up-to-date.

It's a live draft, and both leagues I'm in have at least one player, or several, from Europe. Different leagues have different rules for how it goes, but for the most part it works for everyone. It isn't a one day, bang it out type deal - typically they go on for several days, and you can load players into queues.
AFAIK, everybody uses the same online draft utility software. You can't register or access the draft chatroom, or access the player list, but you can take a look at an ongoing draft here: OSFL Front Office Football Conscriptor version 1.28.7b Ah...beaten to the punch! To echo what aston said, I don't know that I've ever been in a league without at least one European owner, and it's never been a significant issue.

If you're looking to join an MP league might I suggest you give the RDFL a look? We've literally just finished the 2019 season (I won the bowl game, yay!) and unfortunately a couple of guys have had to step down. The league has been going for 15 seasons and has some well established GMs. I think we have 5 or 6 vacancies now and the forum is here: The RDFL Forum • Index page (Note - the commish is still trying to get some parts of the site looking & working better, but don't let that put you off) A lot of the GMs are UK based, so time zones shouldn't cause any problems. Hope to see you there. |
