Game plan question

Does a game plan itself have cohesiveness?

Is there any kind of bonus for using the same game plan?

Or...

Is there a penalty of some type for changing it frequently?

I've never thought about it before, but I doubt it.

My offense just had its best year ever, with the same personnel, by changing from the run'n'stun to the greatest show on turf week by week, depending on whether teams I was facing were better against run or pass. My guess is that it's actually the exact opposite of what you are thinking, in that I would guess even an Ai opponent will have some success game planning against you if you are doing the exact some thing each week.

I'm currently running the run'n'stun (PA vertical from the gameplan library) because using it I never know if I'm going to dominate passing wise or rushing wise that game. I liked using the GSOT against really weak pass defenses, but I lost my starting QB and traded for a new starter in week 3. I worry about lacking the cohesion to pass nearly every play.

I'm with you on this. I doubt the game is THAT deep. That's not to say it doesn't exist, it's just my opinion.

To me, gameplan cohesion wouldn't be "deep", it would actually be a simplification of things. In FOF, the gameplan represents your overall offensive philosophy as well as your literal gameplan. I wish it was easier to make simple adjustments week to week for your offensive gameplan, but I've found its actually easier to load up a completely new gameplan if I want to drastically change my pass/run splits.
