Blitzing in the 3-4 questions

I remember reading something a long time ago about the WLB being replaced by DB's in the nickel/dime and those DB's were now pass rushers...did that ever get fixed?

Also, probably just a dumb FOF101 question, but in the 3-4, which DE is suddenly a DT (for lack of a better explanation) since the WLB is always rushing?

Short answers just from memory:

-the odd blitzing crap did get patched away

-expect your RDE to be less productive in the pass rush

I didn't blitz a single down in CCFL last season. I started Van Pelt at WLB (4 sacks) all season, Bush was my LDE (14 sacks), Horner was my NT (6 sacks), and Basford was my RDE (10 sacks). I'm not sure the reason why the RDE got alot of sacks with his horrible pass rush rating.

@QS -- Thanks, that's what I was looking for.

@Nemesis -- For the crowd at large, Nemesis' NYG teams went 16-0...I didn't realize you didn't blitz at all...stuff like that, couple with those solid stats, kills me. I thought not blitzing would have a devastating result against your sack totals. I guess not, interesting news to me!

I keep seeing RDE shouldn't get sacks in the 3-4, but so far I get as many or more with my RDE than my LDE most times, despite having better pass rushers at LDE.

In dime I do not belive the WLB is on auto pass rusher either, he needs to blitz to rush the QB in dime.

Maybe some of the changes in the last update of this game (or last few) have changed the way the game handles stuff like this. Maybe Jim did some things by design to throw a wrench into the wheel so to speak, so the more experienced players would have to change strategy a bit, just a thought.
