Xmas just got a tad more interesting...

House: Contract accepted.

Only problem? We close in exactly a month. House hunting just got ... frantic.

The good part is that you've got a lot of people that will do a closing in 30 days or less right now. Shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds like you need to rent a storage locker and a month-to-month apartment.

Grr.

Went hunting today, found one we really liked...till we got to the basement and saw the foundation had been repaired. Yeah, there's a potential massive headache we don't want.

Well, if it has been repaired properly and there is no mold, it shouldn't be a problem. Better that it has been repaired (and likely has a guarantee on it) than to buy a house and then have the problem.

Agreed. If it was repaired professionally, and the guarantee is transferable, I'd consider that a bonus.
