Just sent payment, thanks for the reminder. FWIW though, I waited about 8 months to actually get the address I could send payment too (received it a week ago).

In the future, league fees need to be collected before the season starts.

lol...someone remind me what FORCL is. Is it the Lock of the Week? Gawd, I suck at that. How much do I owe? I forget.

Danny, could you please PM me that address? Or maybe an email address and I'll pay through PayPal. Thanks!

100% agreed with this (and I still haven't gotten the address myself). To be honest, I am surprised you are even still expecting us to pay. It was clear the interest in the league dropped off really fast and we never even did the minor league draft that was expected. Still paying $40 for a league like that seems pretty absurd to me.

Lets see-

Many people willing to pay preseason(myself included) because in many ways payment increases activity

Nobody is given this information, the league quickly loses interest. At many points no more than 4 people are doing anything. Messages on league page end in about may, other than one I posted in like August.

Minor League draft never happens, at least this might have been a reason to continue to play.

League ends at some point, and approx a month later "we have to get the winnars paid!"

Nobody responds to that.

Another month goes buy, "We have to get the winnars paid"

One person responds

Now we're at the point where you guys are obviously publicly attempting to shame people who didn't pay for a shitty league that didn't do anything. And have put more effort into trying to collect the money 8 months after the season started than was ever put into making the league work.

I'll get right on cutting that check.

Welp. First of all yes, some mistakes were made, but I pretty much chalk that up to starting so late and trying to get everything going before the season started rather than incompetence.

I certainly do wish that the money was collected before we started but it wasn't so there isn't much I can do about that.

Any league is what you make of it, your team sucked and you bailed. Nobody else did. I really never expected you to pay based on how you just up and quit.

There is no, "you guys" it's just me, so if you'd like to reply you can reply to me. Todd sent out multiple PM's. After the last one I told him to tell me who hasn't paid and I'd ping them. Enough people have paid that he can pay off the 2nd and 3rd place teams, this about me getting my money. I'm not trying to shame anyone, I'm trying to get their attention. Most of the people on that list have a long standing reputation around here that I don't think is going to be besmirched because they haven't paid yet, I fully expect that they will.

Interest in the league dropped off or your team wasn't very good and you just stopped trying? Seems to me that most of us were very interested.

The very idea of the league being a keeper league should have kept your interest if you were truly invested in it. Yeah we never did a minor league draft, I wish we had, but that didn't stop me from playing or throwing a fit.

Anyway, to anyone from the league reading, I'm trying to figure out who's who so I can figure out who we have going forward and who does or doesn't owe. Any help would be appreciated.

Fat Bastards
Joe Schultz Budweisers
Team Kieta

These 3 teams were owned by Oilers9911, Mustang and Chief Rum. Whoever Fat Bastards was needs to get paid, not pay.

Just saw this again. I paid cause it was the right thing to do, but I can't really blame others for not jumping right away to do so. And in regards to you saying Todd "sent out multiple PM's". I got one PM, 3 months after the season was over, and this was after repeatedly asking for the address before, during and after the season. It is good for you that you won and I do hope you get your money because you were not the commish, but it was a bad league which was run terribly. And this coming from someone who was active the whole year.

I accept all that. I also accept that the starting of this thread probably comes off as more contentious than I intended. I'm just trying to get everything cleared up and get those who are owed, payed.

Was the FORCL the fantasy baseball league that was started up where the rules were pieced together?

If that is the one, I was in it, but pulled out once I determined that the rules made up weren't much to my liking.

Fat Bastards does seem like a name I'd use though...

If someone wants to give me money though I'd be ok with that.

You played late enough in the year to snag some first baseman replacement player in July. I needed some offense, and was sure that he was the guy that no one else knew about. Then you picked him up for like $5 when I bid $3. I lamented that bid for weeks.

In any case, in regard to some earlier posts, you get from any league what you put into it.

Most disturbing to me is the fact that when I went from worst to first over the course of May, I thought it was because I was getting into the swing of things. It turns out Instead that everybody quit.

I'm paying Glen today and will get the balance that's left to you. Life's really taken a giant chunk of my ass lately - sorry to take so long.

I'd blame the league rules rather than the owners for that - we didn't give ourselves any flexibility AT ALL to pick up players, replace guys on the DL, and even make trades.

In hindsight, a smaller roster or two fewer teams would have served us well.

This last year? (2011?)

I'm sorry, but I just don't remember being in any league this year other than my 2 local ones.
