Sides of the field

I know this has been discussed before, but If my opponent is doing something on the left/right side of the field, which side to I counteract that on?

Pretend that you are the keeper looking down the length of the field, when planning out your right and left side attacks/defense. So, on the orders screen, the wingback on the left side of the screen is actually your right wingback.

Rather counter-intuitive, I know, but that's the way it is.

so if he is doing something on the right side, I should counter on the left side?

basically this guy is pulling a wingback to the IM, then he is pulling his winger on the same side to the IM. On the opposite side, he is playing a defensive Wingback. Im thinking about putting my winger in that is a better scorer, and playing him offensively???

see if this can help:

say your opp has the following:

excellent Left Attack
solid center attack
inad Right Attack

inad Left Defense
excellent Center Defense
solid Right Defense

you will want to put your strongest attack on your Right side.

Your right side is against his left.

your right defense is against his excellent left attack
your left defense is against his inad right attack
your left attack is against his solid right defense
your right attack is against his inad left defense

now for something visual:

you:

RW RIM LIM LW
RF LF

him:

LF RF
LW LIM RIM RW
LWB LCD RCD RW
K

okay I pust my strongest players to match his stronger guys, I still wonder if I should play the winger offensive against the winger he has moved towards the middle, or should I follow him, and move my best playmaker winger towards the middle?
