So what's the acknowledged best way to go?

It's on my list for the next couple months and I see a Groupon today for a professional one (LED-activated gel).

Someone want to save me some google-research?

Whatever you do, do NOT get the Zoom whitening treatment. Worst pain I've ever had in my entire life.

I would try the highest level (I forgot the name) of Crest White strips initially. I've used them a couple times now and was amazed with the results. Additionally, they are a more cost effective first option than laser or more involved molded treatments.
