2011 Roster File
Looked over statistics and consulted USA Today's team reports to create the roster file. I think the overall talent in the roster is pretty good. The talent pool is quite a bit higher then what's suggested in the FOF CSV notepad but from what I can tell it's actually a little less then the overall talent pool 25 to 30 years down the line which I compared it to. Hopefully that will help alleviate the cap issues that some computer teams have within 4 or 5 years of the start of a new career.
I've tested the No Manning roster file several times. There's quite a bit of variance (especially with lower end teams) but teams such as the Patriots, Texans, Ravens, Giants, Packers, 49ers, and Saints are consistently making the playoffs. Teams that seem to struggle to make it that made it in real life are the Lions and Bengals. Bengals make sense (very easy schedule) but I'm not sure what the issue with the Lions is. A few other notes: - There doesn't seem to be a way to change what a team's default defense. I tried making all the Texans players have 3-4 positions but the game turns the ILBs to MLBs and NTs to DTs. I'm guessing it's hard coded. -The schedule isn't the 2011 schedule. It's the 2010 schedule. I'm guessing the schedule is hard coded. -I had to lower a few of the salaries on the Chiefs, Vikings, Steelers, and Chargers so they didn't immediately have cap trouble. -I found a site that listed a lot of players salaries. While some salaries are probably fairly accurate in this file I didn't spend enough time on this portion to make sure that most are. -I worked off of Jim Gindin's 2010 CSV file (I think). I didn't alter HOF points at all but I did run a macro to make sure everyone's experience was increased by one (with the exception of John Kasay as a player can't have more then 19 years of experience in the initial file) -The roster is much more geared towards end of season. I used the nfl.com's rosters for the most part. Player with large contracts such as Bernard Berrien and Donovan McNabb I tended to keep on their original team. -Edit: All new players had their hometown randomized using a macro. 2011 Roster With Peyton Manning https://rapidshare.com/files/3925988...acerroster.fdt 2011 Roster Without Peyton Manning https://rapidshare.com/files/1437041...rNoManning.fdt 2011 Roster CSV https://rapidshare.com/files/2638848...11RacerCSV.csv Last edited by Racer : 01-24-2012 at 12:42 PM. |

I wasn't able to download these due to unavailability. Wondering if they will ever be back up?
Thanks in advance!

Racer, thank-you so much for these 2011 files!
However, since I am a complete newbie to FOF 2007, I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out how to get these roster files installed into the game? Also, what settings should I use for the "X-Factor" setting when I am starting a new game? Thanks! |

It could be just no one had downloaded them in while. I was able to download them while logged into my account and then I logged out and was able to download them again. Try downloading them again. If you can't get them to download, then if PM your email I can then email them to you. |

I also turn X-Factor off but really it's up to each individual person. I think the x-factor creates a lot more variability in the ratings. |

Thanks Racer! I sent you a PM. I was still not able to download them. I am sure it is due to an error on my part. Mo

Racer, thanks for your help! I was able to get your roster installed in my game! Also, will you be putting out a new file after this year's draft?
