FOF Disk
I have been after the support people for about two months trying to get the FOF disk that I ordered, and as you might expect I am furious. Does anyone have Jim Gindin's email address, or any other way to get results on this?

For $12, when you order the regular download.

Heh. I had no idea. I'm guessing people don't take that option very much, given that they can download the game at any time. Plus I have to wonder if they even have FOF2K7 CDs still sitting around after all these years....

Oh, and there's a support email address for Solecismic Software at their web site on one of the FAQ pages, I think...

I've tried Solecismic support and elicense suport numerous times. Solecismic at least replies courteously, but they say only elicense can help me with that. That's why I wanted Jim directly, because I'm getting nowhere.

It's not something I would've risked. Web pages don't go away after the support goes away...at least not automatically.
At this point, I'd classify any actual support from ViaTech as magical. They have been awesome for a long time but I suspect there is a near zero return on investment these days for them. Legally though, if they took the $12, they are responsible for providing a service...in this case, a CD. If they can't do that, then they should probably update their website. For reference,

I don't understand this at all. I agree with the refund part, but there's no reason to need a disk IMO.

People unfamiliar with the Viatech licensing process and more familiar with traditiinal CD keys are subject to clicking the worse option. The option should not exist.
