Rest In Peace - Joe South (1940-2012)
One heck of a songwriter & musician. Imagine writing hits that span the gap between Lynn Anderson & Deep Purple. Largely retired after his brother's suicide in 1971 but one of the most respected talents of his era.

I actually missed that he wrote "Hush." He also played guitar on Aretha's "Chain of Fools." And, for the sake of completeness, here's his radio staple.
