NFL Week 9 thread

Report -- Pittsburgh Steelers can't find hotel, to travel Sunday for game at New York Giants - ESPN

We all know how big a Giants fan I am, but I think this is absurd.

I find it fascinating that the Chiefs have not been in the lead for 1 second of regulation this season. Believe I read somewhere that it's been 70 years since that has happened.

Norv Turner will cure them of what ails them.

Aqib Talib traded to New England Patriots by Tampa Bay Buccaneers - ESPN Boston

Patriots get cb Aqib Talib from TB. Apparently he's tall which is something.

You know it's a bad pass by Rivers when it causes the team to get booed off the field at halftime even though they're up a touchdown.

I'm going to go ahead and post it here so that I can look silly in 2 days... But I think my Titans have a pretty good chance of beating the Bears this weekend.

I guess those things are absurd, but the article doesn't mention them. Are those ideas being considered or something?

It's not like there's zero hotels in the NYC metropolitan area with power, they just figured it'd be impolite to try arrange accommodations with any of them.

"Before we looked for another one (hotel), we decided we just didn't feel right about asking employees at any of the hotels down there to start making a bunch of extra efforts to accommodate us, when so many of them are having issues themselves," a senior Steelers official told ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

Not sure why they just couldn't stay in southern CT or north, more inland Jersey. I don't think it'd be impolite to offer any hotels there their business.

They should just move the game to Pittsburgh. The Giants lose a home game, but that didn't stop the NFL from moving a NO home game to NY after Katrina.

Sunday NFL Countdown has taken a major nosedive this year. Fox has been un-watchable since...well...forever. ESPN used to put some half-way decent programming on Sunday mornings, but now it's just 2+ hours of filler, and 1 hour of Giants/Jets coverage.

Unfortunately the Redskins chance of beating the Panthers took a hit when MeAngelo Hall was only fined and not suspended for being a petulant 2-year-old last week.

There might be a new sack record set in the ARZ/GB game.

I remember him being a below-average to average CB, and a great return man.

Refs blow the whistle saying D'Angelo Williams is out of bounds. Redskins defense stops on the whistle. Williams runs to the end zone anyways. Refs convene and call the play a TD.

How bout that "feel like Titans might beat the Bears" pick? The Bears should just punt to us, their fucking punt return and defense would beat us.

Yep, if someone else had not commented on it by now I figured 28-2 was time to bring it up.

I just hope the Bears don't decide to break their own record for largest margin of victory, because I'm pretty sure they could.

Washington converts two fourth downs on the same drive against Carolina, gets down to the Carolina 1, goes for it on 4th and goal, but can't convert that one, no points, but Carolina pinned quite deep.
