Gang of Ten (An NCAA regular season game)
Based on the success of the Starting Eight game last NCAA tourney, wade and I talked about doing a regular season version. The premise is basically the same, though there are tweaks for the regular season format.
Quote:
This game will end after the regular season and we'll go back to Starting Eight for the post-season, but thought it might be fun for chronic NCAA watchers to have a low-fuss fantasy-type game to play during the year. There is no draft, you just release your own Gang of Ten. If interested, post here and we'll get it started. |

In either way, but two questions - why no counting assists, and is there any limit to how many players you can switch at the end of each month?

Based on our discussions of e games, assists were left out basically for simplicity's sake. Maybe next year, if we get good interest, we can bring assists in - but right now trying to keep it simple and balanced, which I think points + rebounds does. Once you start throwing in assists you have to ya about turnovers. Once you talk about turnovers, you have to talk about steals.
Unless I had a different impression than YD, you could change all 10 players at the end of the month I believe. Oh, needless to say, I'm in.

Aren't there wild disparities in the amount of games played each month per team?

We initially discussed making it a conference-play only game. But I suspect that this factor (or wild scheduling disparities) might be part of the calculus with who people pick & for when. Last edited by Young Drachma : 11-13-2012 at 04:31 PM. |

average of points/rebounds per game instead of totals.

I think the rules are pretty straightforward as is, but averages would sort of screw up the program. Since it's not a draft, I figure people can just check ahead to the people they might want playing for them based on schedule, etc. |
