A question of market value

Ok, The Drunkards have finally had improvements as a result of my training program. Now I dont have any experience in the ratings that are above passable so it would be nice to have some advice from a vet about these two.

Patrik Larsson (10790586)
17 years, passable form, healthy

A sympathetic guy who is temperamental and righteous.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.

Nationality: Sverige
Assessed value: 56 000 US$
Wage: 816 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Toledo Drunkards
Warnings: 0

Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: wretched
Winger: wretched Defending: inadequate
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: wretched

Keenan Pendleton (8581829) +1
18 years, weak form, bruised, but training

A sympathetic guy who is calm and dishonest.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.

Speciality: Powerful

Nationality: USA
Assessed value: 31 000 US$
Wage: 670 US$/week
Owner: Toledo Drunkards
Warnings: 1

Stamina: inadequate Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: poor
Winger: wretched Defending: poor
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: weak

They just bumped up to Solid today. Now I know they have no secondary skills which hurts their value. But how much do you usually see players like this sell for? Keenan almost always scores a goal and gets 2* in inad or passable form. Patrik Larsson usually doesnt score a goal but has still managed 2 1/2* in his last 2 weeks.

For those of you who dont follow my dynasty (shame on you) I am 217,000 in debt at the moment and still need to upgrade my stadium from the initial 7K seating. So it would be nice to get out of the red soon, but with the age of these players would training them up to excellent be better? How much more would they get me with an excellent rating?

I should also note that I only need to start 1 of these 2 in my league games. Plus I have another forward who can step in and play very well.

I am undecided on wether to sell now or keep training them. Advice please?

Well, the only advice I can offer is to either sell _right now_, or _right_ when they pop to excellent.

Larsson could bring in a tidy sum, but his passing rating really hurts. Also I don't know if people still drool over 17 year old solid scorers still, but if they do I've seen people sell them for over a million. But those guys have decent passing skills.

RPI- Yea, Thats petty much what I was thinking. No point in training them if Im going to sell before they pop.

illinifan- Thanks, I guess I will just put Larsson up for 500 or 600K and see if anyone wants him. Kinda like just throwing shit at the wall to see if it sticks. I doubt I can get that much but we will see.

Im off to check out the transfer markets to see if I can get a better idea.
