As someone who thinks the compilation of stats and how they keep pretty much every stat that has ever happened in your league during its existence is one of the best parts and one of the main reasons I enjoy playing it I wish it could be even more detailed then it already is to some degree.

FOF compiles a huge amount of stats and is something you could spend quite some time researching if you chose to do so. With that said though I wish at times it could be even more detailed. For instance the game compiles are the receiving yards for individual players however as far as I have seen you can not separate them and make a list by position. You can't get a list of all the top receiving yards for Tight Ends or most receiving yards in a rookie season for instance.

As someone who enjoys researching the history of the real nfl I think having something like this in FOF would be cool. I know most people who play are only concerned about their own particular team and couldn't give a hoot what players on other teams have done over the course of the league that you have created but with a game that prides itself on being as stat heavy as it is I think it would be cool to make even more detailed stats readily available to the player.

Maybe there is a way to get a list that is even deeper than 'most receiving yards' but if there is I havn't found it.

The Stelmack suite does a great job of setting up either a set of CSV file or a database (MySQL in many instances).

With the CSV's it's very doable to do what you want in Excel but would take alot of data maniuplation.

With the database, with some intermediate level SQL code you could do some of the things you mentioned.

I use My SQL workbench for things like that. Have some canned queries (Average starting positions, kickoff distances etc).
