Financials

After listening to the details in the sportsblog interview regarding the financials being financials revised and playing a much more important role in the ability to put a top notch staff together there are a couple of points I am curious about and please note I am all in favor of making the financials more important.

In a number of leagues you will find teams finding it almost impossible to come close to filling a stadium with fans. I understand the relationship between wins and attendance as well as some sense of fiscal responsibility in contracts but even the worst of teams have a reasonably strong fan base and the stadiums never come close to being empty, even when they are 3-13 or 0-16. So I am curious if the attendance is being addressed in addition to the noted change that Jim discussed in coaching.

With established leagues being converted how will those teams with huge deficits be adjusted, if at all. If not how will these teams be able to field a competitive team with the inherited fiscal constraints in a reasonable timeframe (a season or two - as it is now some may take 8-10 seasons to get on their feet).

Yeah, I'm very interested in if the financial system is going to get a full scale revamping into something more complex and meaningful, or if it's simply going to get more important. The latter would be a move in the wrong direction, I think...

agree. hopefully its more than just jacking up the price of suites.

edit: though i still wouldve rather financials been removed entirely, and had yearly salary and coach maximums dictated by the teams "owner"
