How does your name vote?

Fun little database of how people with your first name vote.

My fellow names are 54.7% Elephant.

I'm pretty much an even split. 50.3% to 49.7%.

46.3% of people with my name have a gun. 58.2% have a college degree. And 49.2% attend religious service weekly.

Compared it to my sibs and parents - my mother has the most democratic name, followed by one of my sisters, then my little brother. My other sister and I are at the bottom of the "family pile" along with my dad.

Strange. There is a 4% difference between the short and full versions of my name.

Interesting to see what the variations to my name bring.

Robert/Rob/Bob are 53% Republican
Bobby is 53% Democrat

And out of curiosity, Roberto is 71.5% Democrat

Thank goodness my short name goes Democrat, even if just barely. Full version leans slightly Republican.

Pretty much any random word has been used as a name. I guess that should be obvious in a country this big, but it's amusing that there are 46 registered voters with the first name "starlight", and 30.2% of them are Republican. There's also apparently 61 registered voters named "soda" (25.7% Republican), and 231 registered voters named "seven" (36.8% Republican).

Edit: Also, 11 registered voters named "Idaho" (32.8% Republican). Either that, or they just screwed up their voter registration card and put their state in the name field. Also 12 "Trout"s (39.5% Republican), but zero "Pumpy"s. OK, now I've spent about 5 minutes trying to find a name that has exactly one registered voter. I must stop this nonsense.

One thing about this... male names are significantly likely to be Republican overall. The reverse is true of female names.

Imaginary FOFC points to the person who can find the highest R percentage with over 1000 registered voters. D is pretty easy because of the huge Hispanic and African American voting block.

"Bud" is 59% Republican. (out of 16,040 registered voters) That's the reddest name I've found yet.

Without even looking at the list, if there's enough males named "Reagan" to qualify, I'd put an imaginary dollar on that being a contender.

I sneaked in there with an edit a couple of minutes ago with this info so I'll reply with it here instead

"Reagan" is 58% Republican (out of 5,019 registered voters). Second to "Bud" so far.

There are 52 registered voters named "weiner", so that's something. (75.6% Democrat).

Keyshawn is a pretty rare name, only 160 of them registered. Not a very religious name. only ~30% of Keyshawns attend service regularly. There are 49 more people named Tsang, a name with a 59.3% degree rate and even less religious.

Exactly 1 out of 2 Docs would recommend voting Republican or Democrat, as the 1236 registrants split right down the middle.

92 registered voters named Pepsi.

135 named Coke.

255 named RC.

18 named Boot.

27 people were born a Father.

None were born a Mother.

Ricky and Rocky are equally likely to be religious, at 60.9%. Dicky at 60%.

Bicky? 31.2%.

14 unfortunate souls out there have gone through life named Sport.

There are more (23) named Taco.

Finally...

More people named Biff have a degree per capita than those named Marty.

10 people named Mowgli, somehow one of them managed to split himself into parts. 73.1% Democrat.

12 named Bort. BORT?

24 named Poo. 14 named Poopy.

227 named Ock? Must be a more common name overseas.

16 Dingos, out there eating american babies.

I have a hard time believing there are actually 34 registered voters named Sp. and 18 named Lk.

Yeah. I foudn that one earlier. Most of the ones I suspected to be high red (read: "white dude names") were. Things like Cade, Kaden, Brad, Bradley, Chad, Conner, Jeb, etc. were in the ~55% and up category.

I got a particular kick out of this one:

Mable: 28.1% red/61.7% guns
