So for next week I need to challenge Calibri to a home friendly (not cup rules) as per the schedule?

Is the only real difference between Cup & Non-Cup Rules the Overtime factor? Or is there something else I'm missing?

Cup rules draw a slightly larger crowd and give a little more experience than regular non-cup rule friendlies.

The Slime have challenged the Colossal Squids. Should be the most disgusting match of the cup.

Edit: Booked.

Just so you all know, I have added a checklist page of all the week 1 games that have to be booked. It tells you who has booked their game and who still has to book them.

Once week 1 will be over, this will become a week 1 results page and I will put up the week 2 checklist page.

The link is in my sig...

I'd guess that by a certain deadline we'd have to remove the non-participants from the Cup and see about getting one of the teams on the waiting list steps in by Monday or Tuesday. Otherwise, you'd have to take a walkover per the rule. Then one of those teams could step in for the following week. Either way, we'd sort of have to figure a way to leave enough time to have you be able to get a friendly of some sort for Wednesday.

deadline for accepting a challenge is set by rule to Monday, 5pm EDT. I'm not sure we should automatically take any teams out of the cup after one walkover though. Maybe not wait the whole week to sort it out, but we might want to try and reach the losing team any way we can, to make sure they are still alive and playing... Remember, shit happens. Somebody could be out on business or something else, but only this week and then everything could be fine. Anyway, I think we should talk about it with HornedFrog...

Well the thing is, I sent him a challenge once and he declined it... so he's out there... I then sent him a message telling him I was from the FOFCup and haven't had a response.

So what's the verdict? 5 pm EST tonight if I still don't have an official match I'm allowed to go out and get me a friendly?

I was the team NYFan challenged. I hadn't read the boards for a few days and didn't realize the Cup was already starting. When I declined, I didn't know it was him challenging me.

By the time I got his message, and second challenge (late Monday night), he had already been scheduled to play someone else.

I'm here now though.

ps..NYFan, why did you challenge me again this week?
