Wacky Game Logs
This board needs more sharing of what's going on in peoples' games. So post your wacky game log excerpts. This maybe is not one of the wackiest, but I'm only 3 seasons in. And I was pretty excited when it happened.
I started with the Raiders and completely blew them up. I won 3 games the first year, with Tim Tebow at QB. I won 7 games the second year, with Luke McCown at QB. McCown played really well, but held out the next year and wanted a $28 million contract. That wasn't going to happen, so I turned to Colt McCoy, who has an overall scouted rating of 42, but two years earlier had a 94.0 QB rating in 16 starts for the 49ers after Kaepernick went down in the pre-season. With McCoy, and a bevy of free agent and draft acquisitions (but still a very shaky group of wide receivers), I started the third year 2-1, and played game 4 at Cincinnati. The Bengals led most of the way, but I had one last shot. With the Bengals leading by 6, I take over at my own 4-yard line, 1:47 left, no timeouts. AI is calling the plays. Oakland: I formation with two tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. Randle and Fletcher are blitzing. 1-10-OAK04 (4Q: 01:47) Colt McCoy pass completed to TE Owen Daniels for 6 yards. Tackled by CB Corey Webster, assisted by S Jairus Byrd. Daniels gained 3 yards after the catch. Oakland: Pro formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and weak-side man, otherwise cover-7 zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. 2-4-OAK10 (4Q: 01:28) Colt McCoy pass completed to WR Mike Thomas for 35 yards. Tackled by CB Corey Webster. The quarterback threw into double coverage. Oakland: Pro formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. 1-10-OAK45 (4Q: 01:02) Colt McCoy pass completed to WR Saalim Hakim for 7 yards. Tackled by CB Corey Webster. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage. Cincinnati's Geno Atkins was hurt on the play. This appears to be a minor ribcage injury. He should be able to remain in the game. Oakland: Single-Back formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 1-deep, bump-and-run coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. 2-3-CIN48 (4Q: 00:39) PENALTY: Oakland was called for a False Start. Oakland: Single-Back formation with trips receivers, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with dime personnel and 4-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. 2-8-OAK47 (4Q: 00:39) Colt McCoy pass was dropped by WR Saalim Hakim. The quarterback threw into double coverage. PENALTY: Cincinnati was called for Offsides. Oakland: Weak formation with two tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 1-deep, bump-and-run coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. 2-3-CIN48 (4Q: 00:39) Colt McCoy pass fell incomplete, intended for TE Jermichael Finley. DT Geno Atkins hurried the quarterback into a bad throw. Oakland: Single-Back formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 with prevent personnel and 4-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. 3-3-CIN48 (4Q: 00:30) Colt McCoy scrambled for 3 yards. Tackled by OLB Amos Randle. Oakland: Single-Back formation with trips receivers, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 with prevent personnel and 4-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. Webster and Byrd are blitzing. 1-10-CIN45 (4Q: 00:04) Colt McCoy pass completed to WR Saalim Hakim for 45 yards and a TOUCHDOWN! Cincinnati 19, Oakland 19(4Q: 00:04) Extra point by Shayne Graham was good. Oakland 20, Cincinnati 19 Final Score: Oakland Raiders 20, Cincinnati Bengals 19 Last edited by molson : 03-06-2014 at 08:18 PM. |
