One thing that might have been a fun option for FOF to include is to make past teams stilll playable from the dynasty you are playing so you could take teams from different years and match them up against eachother in a game.

Similar to what makes stratomatic so popular they could do for FOF only with the completely fictional teams that were created through your dynasty mode. You wouldn't be able to replace your current team on the current season you are doing with a team from a different year but once each season ended you could still play a team from a past season in a single game matchup against another team from a past season.
