TEs

Hi managers!! Are you learning and enjoying even more??

I have a serious doubt about the TE! In SP there is any kind of player because if you want to throw to him just need to take the reins and throw him, but in MP enviroment I need to find the way to throw the ball to him!!

Any suggestions?? I know the gameplans about throw the ball to the TE but I want to adjust my own to him! I tried to put him as a 2nd SE and in 4 and 5 WR sets but is hard to find him.....

Any help will be welcome!

A quick tip is to make sure you adjust your formation usage to utilize formations where the TE is always on the field, and that your QB knows those formations.

Thanks for the top but I have it set, my QB knows the formations and the TE was on the field on 178 pass plays and only got 11 targets, probably RR with only 32 is the main issue... But his 79 Endurance should compensate

It's the RR 32. I've never had success getting the ball much to a TE with that low of a RR.

Yeah I think RR is the key to see targets...

Separate but somewhat related question, since it seems your issue is low RR by the TE in question, but is it just my game or is it extremely hard to actually find a top pass catching TE?

In one SP campaign I somehow signed Jimmy Graham and he was dynamite. But I have not seen a single drafted TE that can compare to the best real life players in there.

I had a stud TE with 0 RR in one league, I think it was IHOF. He had incredible skills, but would only get about 50-60 targets a year (and maybe not even that many) despite me trying to force feed him as much as possible.

Looking at his career stats, he was in for 4109 pass plays, but was targeted only 423 times. It was too bad too, because he averaged 8.75 yards per target and 14.23 per reception.

Yeah definitevely RR is the key to see targets on the field. Lesson learned for the next drafts, trades or FAs....

Small sample size. I've seen stud TEs, but they rarely can get to Jimmy Graham numbers. The game just isn't designed to allow you to split a TE out wide like they do in the current NFL. It's definitely better than in FOF2k7 though.

In the mid 2nd round of my 1st draft I got a TE who is currently an 80 overall. Now in my 3rd draft I was considering another 2ND round TE and kinda wish I had went for him. I ended up trading up for a corner who is showing 68 future and great man and bump ratings but the TE is showing 87 future

Yes, having good scouts makes a huge difference in this game. Despite missing out on that TE I should have chased I still picked up a 53 future TE in the 7th, the top qb in the draft, 49 future, in the 4th, a 1000 yard back in the 4th, a 45 future DE with great pass rushing in the 6th, and a solid coverage lb, 43 future with good numbers in all coverages in the 5th. That and in the late 1st I picked the 68 future corner and my one letdown, a 56 future WR, who was the best in the class and a good deep threat similar to a mike Wallace type who will help my team but not great upside.

I don't have internet other than on my phone so posting a pic is tough. If I was to convert their bars to a 100 point scale though I would say:

passing distance I would assume also makes a difference, pretty sure there are not as many routes for TEs in the 18+ yard area.
