My friend I talked into starting, he had 4 solid playmakers, one of which was solid wing/solid PM. He is just a lucky guy when it comes to online games.

3 solid defenders (aged 22, 24, 26) and a 25 yo passable/passable striker.

Don't think I had any solids when I started.

Hmmm...it's been a while, but I think I started with 2 solid playmakers (sold one) and a solid defender. Of course, I started with a passable keeper as well, who is still on the team (Darryl Read).

I started with one solid scorer and one solid defender. I did have a passable coach though...

I started with one solid defender, and one or two solid wingers. Not the best draw, eh?

I had a solid winger, a solid scorer, and a solid middie when I started. Only the middie is no longer with the team.

I had two solid scorers and a passable keeper when I started. I sold the elder of the scorers while the other two still start for me.

I hate you all.

We had 2 people with solid rankings when we started.

#11 was solid passing/set pieces.

#2 was a solid scorer, but he was a better wingback (passable/passable) than a forward.

Our best keeper was weak.

The list of players we started with still on our team, after roughly a season and a quarter of development...

Wiley Otero (starting winger)
Elliot Hammond (starting central defender/midfielder)
Jesse Matson (starting middie)
Daryl Mosley (starting forward)

Paul Street (reserve forward)
Howie Cole (reserve winger)
Zack Hurst (useless pseudo clown)

Hammond is on his way out the door when he pops to excellent, and Matson isn't going to be in the midfield much longer.

I had a solid winger, a solid defender, and two solid midfielders, one of whom was only a few weeks off popping to excellent. All still with me, although the excellent middie's probably going to have to go to pay the bills.

The Hippos started with 4 solid PMs and two were under the age of 24 *runs, quickly*

As an aside, only one (Stephen Connors) is still on my team, anchoring the midfield as I wait for him to bump to excellent (should be any time now).

One financed my stadium upgrade back in the dark days (Alvin Yeager); one (Pedro Villavilla Paz) sold for under $100K because he was 27 and really was kindof useless: only put up * per game and had no other skills and bad form; and one sold for over $600K (Julius Acker) which went towards getting out of debt, an uber trainee, and a solid (nearly excellent) goalie. But now I'm back to 4 again, but one's a useless trainee-to-sell only guy.

I just started recently, in VI.913, and my team didn't even have a solid bowel movement.

I hate you all!!!!! *takes a deep breath* okay, feel better now...

I had nothing better than a passable in anything on my team when I got it. A weak keeper on top of it... I really got screwed, as if I wasn't able to do that all by myself

I got a winger with outstanding winger, formidable playmaking, excellent passing, and passable defending.

Other than that, just a solid playmaker (he is magnificent now) and a solid defender (sold the whore when he got hurt for 6 weeks).

Before everyone here freaks out, you should all know that new teams used to start with a "star player," hence the phenomenal winger that TP started with, way back when (had the wheel been invented yet?).
