Tough call between New England and New Orleans, but I'll give the nod to New England.

I'm going with Baltimore because putting Lewis on a pedestal and protecting Rice until they absolutely couldn't is still worse than deflating footballs or recording things from the wrong places.

Baltimore has a strong case. Detroit should get some love too for Suh and Raiola.

I went with Philly, I would have been totally fine never seeing Mike Vick play football again.

Yep. But the NFL has a history of allowing people like Vick, Leonard Little, and Ray Lewis get away with things that were appalling.

Voted for NE anyway since they may have just broken the tie with some other franchises.

Baltimore. Ray Lewis obstructed justice in a double murder investigation, but we were all supposed to worship him because he pretended that he was in Gladiator and no one ever proved that he killed someone.

Actually, now that he's gone, I find myself rooting for Baltimore. Flacco and Harbaugh are a QB and coach that I really like.

Not sure how this poll is anything other than a run away for Washington.

Interesting cut-off date. Guess Kodos did not want to include the dirty Shanahan Broncos of the late 1990s.

2000 seemed like a good cut-off. More or less covers the careers of current players. Agree that the cut-blocking would get the 90s Broncos some votes. And Romanowski was a world-class asshole. Also, a lot of people think Shanahan is dirty. I won't argue against any of those things.

I'd say New England overall for this time period-Baltimore, Miami, NO, and Cincy are good choices too. Some have isolated events, while New England seems to have at least one bad story/incident per year.

At least no one said my beloved Cardinals yet.

Nobody cares that both those Broncos and the 49ers dynasty were violating the salary cap.

It's Baltimore. Surprised nobody even talks or brings up Suggs. Dude has beaten his girlfriend more times than ray rice ever did (she is now his wife), and that has been swept under the rug for the past few seasons.

Boston.com did a nice piece on it last week here Terrell Suggs Stands Tall as Another Case of Hypocrisy for the Baltimore Ravens and the NFL - Eric Wilbur's Sports Blog - Boston.com

Too many legit contenders, not sure I can actually narrow down to one pick.

For me it's always been Baltimore. On top of the off-field stuff, they're the one team I could always count on to be looking to purposely injure players during games.

Plus whatever team Rodney Harrison was on.

*shrug*

From watching the games it always looked to me like the Ravens defense systematically worked to set up situations where they could injure an offensive player. Different from the individual player who is out to play dirty and/or injure people.

One example that sticks out was a game in which the first tackler deliberately held up a runner who was half-way to ground specifically so he could have his head taken off by the 2nd tackler.
