For those who missed it, a new version (7.1b) was released yesterday.

There was some confusion about how "official" the patch was, so I didn't post a new thread, but commented on it in the Steam thread. Looks like Solecismic.com was updated overnight with some new information:

Quote:
The ViaTech version was just updated to 7.1b to include a couple of minor bug fixes and some graphics improvements.

FYI for commishes, I simmed five leagues this morning with me on 7.1b and nearly everyone in the leagues on 7.1a and had no issues.

Anyone who buys on Steam (or trades in their Viatech license for a Steam license) will be on 7.1b.

New to the site, and first game in the franchise for me. I got through a few seasons last night, and love the game. I'm becoming more of a fan for sim based games everyday it seems like. My question is, once the game becomes available on Steam, all we have to do is use our purchase ID to activate it on Steam. Right? Thanks!

The only thing I have found so far are graphic changes. City ban files are updated and some of the bitmap files are now located in the pictures folder so they can be manipulated easier.

So no change list for 7.1b? If I'm not using the Steam version any reason to patch and have to reshack everything again?

No, not unless you are in SP and want updated rosters. Read the latest mods thread.

I think I may have noticed one of these "minor bug fixes." This isn't minor for me. It's a fairly big deal for me in MP.

OLD WAY
Make offers to a dozen or so players in a FA period. Offer #13 and realize, "oh crap, I wanted to offer him three years, not four." Or whatever. Point being, I made a mistake while doing a file during FA and I'd already made a good number of offers, the "Edit Stage File" option would get rid of the bad offer, but it would not let you make a new one in the same file.

NEW WAY
Now, I can make a mistake, hit the Edit Stage File, get rid of the mistake, and it allows me to make the same player a new offer. Pretty big deal, at least for someone like me who might offer 20-30 players in one stage at times.

Wow, I didn't know that. Great catch, Ben! That will save me some time. I've been reloading stages just because I assumed it wouldn't let me make a new one.

Hmmm

Solecismic Software on Twitter: "Brand new feature for #FrontOfficeFootball... Ctrl-Alt-8 (numpad). Enjoy..."

Doesn't do anything for me.

I think the text that was on the web site said that this was only available for the month of February.
