In-Game Depth Chart

Is it only possible to access the offensive backfield subs during a game? I've looked and I can't see a way to access any other depth chart grouping.

I think you are correct. There are some adjustments that can be made that determine how often the subs play and at what point they come into the game. Like during a blowout, etc...but not sure about the other access
