Thumbs up Canada games are underway, USA to follow shortly!!!

In what seems to become a ritual, since Canada starts playing two hours before the USA, let me start the reporting thread for this 6th week of activity in Hattrick...

At halftime, the Pittbulls were ahead 4-0, playing their B squad in a very, very cool fashion (read PIC) and they were controlling the ball an impressive 93% of the time. Can you say "sucky bot team"? Yes, then say it twice

After only 5 minutes of the second half, Mel Russell finished the first ever hattrick of the young Pittbulls history, making the score 5-0...

Criollo just crashed on me, so I'll be back in a few minutes with the scores of the other Canadian games...

Hopefully I'll be out of work early tonight (still here for like half an hour) and I can get in on the chat. If anyone's interested, I'm playing the #1 team in my series with a MOTS, hoping to throw a wrench into his plans for promotion. From what I can tell, I should be able to take him...but I take nothing for granted after the first few weeks of the season.

My team ID is 70384.

Bad news: Injury. Good news: it was to my worst winger, and I have perfectly adequate backups.

After 2 minutes Fightings Martin Maurer made his way through the middle, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Victor Brown of Fighting received a yellow card in the 16:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Juan Briñas increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. The structure of the game started to change as Fighting decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone.

Now if we can only hold them, this would be a huge win.

Randy Mahon came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Ryan Quick, hitting the bar.

What coulda been.

I think this guy has three keepers with solid or excellent keeper ratings.

Yay, get me one.

Frankfort took the lead in the 33rd minute of the game by 1 to 0, as William Hawkins elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.

So close...

Hor Nhat-Nam was, after 35 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors lead with a well placed diving header but home side keeper Neil Ryder saved.

Up 1-0 at the break. Playing away to the #2 team. So far I've held 56% of the possession, and was told this about my play:

G-Vegas had, after 31 minutes of the game, worked the left side industriously, creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but somehow didn´t achieve closure.

Good to know, b/c thats where I focused my attack.

In the 40:th minute the excellent ball from the wing byMartin Maurer reached Juan Briñas's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 3. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Black held the ball, with a clear 55 percent possession rate.

45 minutes to hold a 3 goal lead.

Game on...

DAMN. Penalty kick allows St. Louis Imperfect Assembly (even though they're the opposition, isn't that a pretty cool name?) to even the score 1-1.

The referee showed Roughriderss Jörgen Adolfsson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.

The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like Glen Dumas whose skills weren´t made justice at all.

A mistake by the home sides central defence in the 52nd minute allowed Nicodemo Villazán to score 0 - 1 for Manhattan.

Unsportsmanlike behaviour by Jörgen Adolfsson rendered him his second booking of the match, and Roughriders had to finish the game with a reduced squad.

meh.... almost tied it up

Francis Kimball made a run for the goal in the 52nd minute but the home teams far left defense managed to sort the situation out in the end.

Frankfort put their lead ahead another goal as Kenneth Clifford struck home the 2 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. By now Frankfort were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead.

We haven't obliterated them like I'd hoped, but this isn't so bad.

Damn it, I get home, and all pumped to tell you guys about my 2-1 lead thanks to my winger, and as I'm typing it up, his striker gets the 2-2 equalizer. 2-2 67 minutes in.

GOAAAAAAALLL!!!

2-1 Golden Eagles FC

After 68 minutes Per Alexandersson made a complete fool of himself and dropped the ball to Franz Schindler who shuffled it into goal. 1-2 for Golden.

However, my best mid went out with an injury. Hopefully it will not be for too long.
